Gem City Roofing completely missed the mark on this repair. They sent someone up to the roof, did some basic caulking around the pipe, and called it done without even checking to see if the leak was truly fixed. Unfortunately, it rained shortly after, and the leak was still there. When I contacted them to have it properly addressed, they insisted on a new estimate because they needed to re-evaluate the situation – including finally performing a water test. I questioned why this was necessary, given they hadn’t completed the initial job correctly, and was met with the dismissive response that "that's just the nature of the business." Ultimately, two other roofing companies confirmed that Gem City’s work was inadequate – stating that flashing isn’t supplied in tubes – and the caulking they applied simply didn’t fix the problem. It feels like a deceptive practice: getting paid to do a substandard job, and then being charged extra to actually fix it. I strongly advise against using Gem City Roofing; they don’t deliver on their promises.

“I was so impressed with Gem City Roofing! We had a pretty bad windstorm that blew off a lot of our shingles, and they responded incredibly quickly, especially considering how busy they were. They gave us a fair and reasonable estimate and got the whole roof fixed that same day. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone!”
