  “I’ve been really happy living in my Finished Werks house for the past seven years – it’s a wonderfully well-built home, incredibly energy-efficient and draft-free. However, with two young boys running around, one of the windows was accidentally broken. I contacted the window manufacturer, but they only sell to distributors and wouldn’t provide a replacement unless it was installed. After going through a distributor, they explained that they don't typically replace this specific type of argon glass, and the cost would have been close to the price of a whole new window. I was completely stuck. Thankfully, Harris stepped in and quickly arranged for the replacement. I’m so grateful for his help – I really wasn’t getting anywhere else and I’m so pleased to have this taken care of before the winter arrives.” report abuse

  Overall, I was really pleased with Finish Works. As a business owner, I value good customer service, and they definitely delivered on that front. They completed some finish work on my pre-cast foundation, and the team they sent were incredibly professional, courteous, and respectful – one even went out of their way to help my wife with a heavy board. The work itself was done quickly, as promised, and the quality was excellent.   Honestly, our experience with Finish Werks was incredibly disappointing and, frankly, a disaster. After they completed the work on our home, we discovered significant water damage and mold growth – damage that shouldn’t have happened. Worse than the damage itself, the owner completely avoided taking responsibility. There was no apology, and he even dismissed the issue by saying water damage is “part of the normal building process,” which is simply not true. It turned out he hadn’t properly covered the roof and two areas were missing shingles, allowing the water to enter. One of his employees admitted this later on. Beyond that, his lack of basic building knowledge was shocking – he couldn’t even grasp the simple need to tarp the roof. The whole situation was incredibly unprofessional; they didn’t have the right tools to properly handle the wet materials, which actually worsened the mold problem. It became clear he didn’t have the skills, knowledge, or integrity to deliver on his promises. We strongly advise you to explore other options. report abuse

  Overall, my experience with Finish Werks was really frustrating and I wouldn’t recommend them. While they clearly have a solid understanding of modular homes – I felt like I was dealing with a less experienced team – there were some serious issues that arose during the build. They were quick to push back against the building inspector’s sometimes unreasonable requests, which I appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of coordination. However, that’s where the good things ended. We experienced significant problems with the quality of the work itself: they misaligned the foundation, put in crooked pads and columns, missed installing crucial hurricane straps, and even placed the house slightly off by over 8 inches. Adding to the stress, communication was a constant challenge. I frequently had to escalate issues to the foreman and then to Harris, as the foreman was often unavailable. It felt like I was constantly being made responsible for fixing problems that weren’t my fault. Honestly, several contractors I spoke with shared similar concerns – it’s widely acknowledged that Finish Werks can be a real headache. If you’re considering them, I strongly advise getting a detailed timeline in writing and, critically, ensuring they’ve paid their subcontractors before you hand over your final payment. You definitely don't want to end up in a situation where someone tries to claim money from your new home. report abuse

  Overall, we were really pleased with the project. The owner demonstrated a fantastic understanding of modular building, and we were particularly impressed with the energy efficiency of the Finish Werks homes. The on-site crew was also great – friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer any questions we had. It was a really positive experience from start to finish. report abuse

  I’m really disappointed with my experience working with this company. Back in 2018, we completed excavation services for them and, unfortunately, never received payment for our honest work. We were owed several thousand dollars, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, it ultimately proved too much hassle to pursue legal action. We learned a valuable, albeit painful, lesson and would strongly advise against working with them. report abuse
