  Overall, I was really pleased with the work DAC Construction did on my deck. Danek, the president, was fantastic – he was incredibly honest and down-to-earth, and his thorough inspection and estimate were both very reasonable. The team did a great job completing the repairs and staining on time, and the quality of their work was exactly what I was hoping for.   “We were absolutely thrilled with the work done by Dan and his crew at DAC Construction. We needed a significant basement renovation – four rooms and a bathroom – and had been burned by previous estimates, so we were understandably cautious. Dan was fantastic from the start. We met with him for a consultation, he thoroughly assessed our basement, and we really appreciated him taking the time to discuss our vision and show us material samples. Once we’d made our selections, the contract was clear and straightforward. Dan handled all the permits, and the crew was incredibly respectful and professional, always keeping us updated and encouraging us to check in on the progress. The quality of their work was outstanding – the floors look fantastic, and the walls and lighted ceiling are truly magnificent. Dan himself took a final walkthrough with us, and his confidence in the finished project was reassuring. We’re getting rave reviews from our family and friends now – it’s turned into our “WOW” basement! My wife and I are completely satisfied with Dan and his crew, and we’ll definitely be using them again for future projects, including installing railings on our front porch and some painting.   “Danny and his team did a really solid job renovating our deck. We were really impressed with how quickly they responded – he came out the very next day to take a look and then got us a quote within a day, which we thought was fair. Work started about nine days after that, and they were consistently there, doing a good, thorough job without any of the frustrating delays or disappearing acts you sometimes encounter. Danny was great about stopping to talk through any issues that came up, and it was clear they were dealing with an older deck that wasn't up to current building codes. We were especially pleased with the railings – they did a fantastic job. Overall, the finished deck feels so much sturdier and more secure than it did before they started.” report abuse

  I’d strongly advise against using Dac Construction. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience was incredibly disappointing. The owner was consistently rude and disrespectful, making us feel like a huge inconvenience. We were simply trying to get a few bathroom issues fixed, and he reacted with a demanding and dismissive attitude. He insisted on a 33% upfront payment before even starting the work, and when my wife questioned this, he responded with incredibly insensitive questions about our finances. This behavior escalated with him becoming confrontational over the phone and making disrespectful comments. Honestly, it was completely unacceptable. I’ve worked with many reputable contractors in Maryland, and no one has ever requested such a large initial payment. Thankfully, we were able to find a licensed, insured, and much more professional contractor at a lower price. We've already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to their unprofessionalism, and I urge anyone considering them to look elsewhere. report abuse

  “I was really pleased with DAC’s work – they completely replaced our townhouse roof with new Timberline HD shingles at the end of 2016, and they even did a partial update to our deck. I’m absolutely satisfied with the quality of the job.” report abuse

  Danny did a fantastic job with the ceiling repair – it was really impressive! He did such a thorough job that I didn’t even realize he’d done so much work; I wouldn’t have known there were even holes to patch. report abuse

  Danny and DAC, We’ve been trying repeatedly to get the $20,000 back for the incomplete work on the DC project, but we haven’t been able to reach you. We’ve sent certified letters, left numerous phone calls, and emailed you multiple times, but we haven’t received any response. We’ve also contacted DCRA and learned that your Home Improvement license (#71100143) was cancelled on August 1st, 2018, due to the company going out of business. Interestingly, your Maryland license (#132115) is still active. We’re now filing complaints with both DCRA and the Maryland Home Improvement Commission to try and resolve this.
