  I was so impressed with Gutter Shutter! Honestly, I’ve had terrible experiences with contractors in the past, but Owen and his team were a breath of fresh air. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and communicative – they always answered my calls and kept me updated. Owen took the time to clearly explain his recommendations for the gutter placement, which I really appreciated. It’s reassuring to work with someone who checks in with you before making any changes.   Overall, we were really pleased with our experience with Klaus Roofing by J Smegal. This was the second time we’ve used them, and they continued to deliver a professional service from start to finish. They kept us fully informed throughout the whole process, and Raul did a fantastic job managing the crew – everyone was hardworking and really took pride in their work. They did a great job on the roof, and they were incredibly careful, covering everything properly and leaving the site spotless when they were done. We’d definitely recommend them! report abuse

  Overall, my experience with this company was pretty frustrating. I was really pleased with the gentleman who did the initial appraisal – he was very professional. However, the follow-up gutter cleaning was a completely different story. I paid the required 50% deposit, but I never received a call to schedule the work, and had to repeatedly contact the company to find out when they’d be coming. They showed up unexpectedly at 8:30 AM, while my husband and I were still asleep, and I only discovered they were there because I went downstairs for coffee. Unfortunately, during the cleaning, some of my garden items were damaged, though I was able to repair them. They also left one of my flood lights broken, and it took weeks to get someone back out to fix it. I felt pressured with the constant email reminders for payment, and frankly, it seemed like a rushed job for the price I paid – $1,000 for such a short amount of time. I certainly don't plan on using their services again. report abuse

  “I was really impressed with J Smegal’s crew! They completely replaced our roof on the house and garage today, and they were incredibly efficient. They arrived at 7:00 AM and didn’t leave until after 7:00 PM, but they managed to finish the whole job in one day. Paul, the foreman, and his team of nine were fantastic – so professional, meticulous, and they did a truly beautiful job with the installation. And they cleaned up everything afterward, leaving our house and yard spotless. It was amazing to watch them work!” report abuse

  Smegal Roofing did a fantastic job – I was really impressed! Ian, the manager, was so professional and helpful, always answering my questions and keeping me updated with pictures of the progress. The whole crew was fantastic too – they were really organized, kept the work area tidy, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. I’d definitely recommend them. report abuse
