  Rick and his team did an absolutely fantastic job renovating three rooms in my house. From the initial consultation to the final touches, everything was handled so professionally and efficiently. They were always punctual, really polite, and kept me updated on everything. The ceiling work was particularly impressive – top quality and they clearly paid a lot of attention to detail. Importantly, they stuck to both the agreed timeline and budget, which is a huge relief when you’re having work done.   Rick did an absolutely fantastic job renovating my little bungalow up in Northern Michigan. Despite it being a relatively small project, he completely transformed the space! He came up with a brilliant plan – taking down a wall, adding a closet, and removing a window – which really opened up the house and made it feel so much brighter and more comfortable. He was incredibly reliable and professional throughout the whole process, and I’ll definitely be calling him again when it’s time to build a new house. report abuse

  “I’ll always remember the incredible journey of building our home – it started with a simple desire to have a real ‘home’ after years in an apartment. It took four years of dedicated work, mostly on weekends, but we finally got there! Of course, we had to put plans for a family room and garage on hold due to finances, but it was worth it. Years later, in 2000, things changed, and my wife and I were able to hire Rick Morris and his crew to build an addition, truly finishing our dream. Rick was fantastic to work with, and despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic, he and his team got the job done quickly and to an absolutely outstanding standard.   Rick and his team were truly exceptional to work with. My parents were looking to add a bedroom and bathroom to their home to allow them to age in place, but the initial estimates were incredibly high. Rick went above and beyond, taking the time to thoroughly discuss the project with my parents and explore more affordable options, even suggesting they consider selling their home and building something more suitable. He never pushed them towards an expensive build, instead skillfully guiding them away from the original, overly ambitious plans. Sadly, my Dad passed away before the project was completed. Despite this difficult situation, Rick and his team saw the job through, ensuring the work was finished so we could sell the house without it looking like an incomplete project. It was incredibly thoughtful of him, and he even attended the memorial. I really appreciated his genuine care and concern for my parents, and his dedication to protecting them from making costly financial decisions.   Rick from Morris Custom Homes was absolutely fantastic – we couldn’t have asked for a better experience building our new home in Grand Blanc! We’d just moved from Traverse City after 35 years there and were understandably anxious about finding a reliable builder in a completely new area. Rick really went above and beyond, spending time visiting properties with us to make sure they were a good fit for our vision. He was consistently present throughout the entire build, and he was incredibly honest and open about the challenges we faced due to material shortages during the pandemic. What really stood out was his organizational skills – he and his team worked tirelessly to get us into our new home on our final apartment lease date, which was a huge relief. And, incredibly, he and his wife even took care of the final construction cleanup themselves! It’s rare to find a builder who would do that, and we were so grateful. They did a fantastic job building a new deck with a really nice black railing and they also cleverly converted our old pantry into a small laundry room. Rick was fantastic – he really took the lead in getting everything coordinated with the other professionals, and the whole project was completed on schedule and to a really high standard.
