He was super responsive, gave me a clear and honest estimate, and did a great job repairing it at a price that felt fair.   Overall, Steve did a decent job being pleasant to work with, and the installer he used for the fence itself was really good. However, the finished product – particularly the double gates – was disappointing. They're sagging quite a bit, and he tried to fix it by just adding screws to the plastic brackets, which actually cracked one of them. The hinges were also misaligned, preventing the gates from closing properly. I was able to manage to get them to close a bit better, but the sagging remains a problem. I was a little surprised by the quality of the doors; I would have preferred to have purchased something pre-built if it had been a stronger option. Also, he covered up the barcode labels on all the hardware with paint, and the paint is now peeling off. I wish I’d had a better understanding of the materials and the installation process beforehand, as that would have influenced my choices. I’d rate the fence a solid 8 or 9, but the doors themselves, honestly, a 5. report abuse

  I had a really terrible experience with Steve. The installation was completely botched – nothing lined up correctly, and the chain link was dragging on the ground. When I raised concerns about the work, he simply told me the job was finished and hung up on me. It was unbelievably unprofessional and frankly, a complete waste of money. My mother hired him, and it’s clear he took advantage of her. I strongly advise against using his services. report abuse

  Steve and his team did an absolutely fantastic job with our fence repairs. He was so straightforward and honest, and incredibly prompt – we really appreciated that. He came out, took a look at the situation, and instead of recommending a full replacement (which would have been much more expensive), he identified the necessary repairs, which saved us a huge amount of money. The two gates were repaired perfectly, and everything looks and works brilliantly now. We’re really happy with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend Steve – he’s a breath of fresh air compared to some of those companies that just try to sell you a full replacement. report abuse
