  Evergreen Electric was, without a doubt, the worst decision we made during our new construction. From the start, the owner kept delaying work, forcing us as homeowners to step in and try to keep things on track. He’d repeatedly lash out at us over scheduling concerns, refusing to take any responsibility for communication or sticking to agreed-upon timelines. It felt like a constant battle just to get basic work done. But the truly awful part began *after* we moved in. The county inspector found a serious problem with the buried electrical line – one that Evergreen had completely failed to complete. Instead of fixing it, the owner just said he’d get to it “when he had time.” Five months into our occupancy, our septic system backed up, creating a huge mess, and it turned out Evergreen had overlooked wiring the septic pump – a fundamental task! To add insult to injury, we’d already been billed and paid for the wiring, and then Evergreen discovered a plumbing pipe he’d drilled through, which hadn’t leaked until the septic issue arose. While it was raining in our new basement, he simply shrugged it off with a dismissive "it happens" and no attempt to actually resolve the problem. We ended up spending over a week with an extension cord running from our house to the pump. When we asked about covering the cost of the plumbing fix, he even suggested the problem was our fault because the electrical line wasn't buried deep enough. It was incredibly frustrating—a simple gesture of covering the bill would have shown some accountability, but he just continued his poor business practices. Honestly, we wouldn't have hired him if we'd known this was how things would go. Please, do your research before you sign a contract with Evergreen Electric – you’ve been warned.” report abuse
