  Honestly, I can’t recommend Homestead Fence Co. despite having a decent product. The fence itself looks good and seems sturdy, but the customer service was incredibly frustrating. When the installers finally unpacked my order, half of it was missing – they were short on U-channels, all the pickets for a 4-foot fence, rail transition brackets, and the mounting hardware. This completely delayed the installation, and to add insult to injury, the installers tacked on a mobilization fee. I contacted Homestead Fence Co. to ask them to cover that fee, as it was clearly their error, but I received no response after they said they’d speak to the manager. A week later, I followed up again and still heard nothing. Finally, when I went back to collect some extra items, I asked to speak with someone in charge, and Paul came out. He even contradicted the official installation instructions, and became quite argumentative when I explained all the problems I’d encountered. It was completely unacceptable that they would make me pay extra fees to the installers because of their mistake, and their lack of communication and willingness to resolve the issue was really disappointing. report abuse

With just a weekend of work, we got almost 350 feet of the fence completed! Paul was fantastic – he was incredibly helpful and patient, answering all of our questions.   Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Homestead Fence Co.! I was initially disappointed to hear they weren’t selling to DIYers, but I’m so glad I found them. Paul was a huge help in bringing my fence project to life, and the prices were really competitive. The only downside was the shipping cost – it ended up being cheaper for me to drive from California to Arizona to pick up the fence myself. We actually made a mini-vacation out of it! They did a great job wrapping the fence securely on a pallet, and the included aluminum supports were a really thoughtful touch – they really prevented any sagging. I especially loved how neatly everything was packaged. Plus, their operation is surprisingly quiet. I highly recommend them! report abuse
