I wholeheartedly recommend this – they were incredibly knowledgeable and, importantly, punctual.

“I was really impressed with Dave’s service. He immediately addressed my concerns about my system, which is over a year old, and didn’t waste any time. He thoroughly checked everything, even going up on the roof to inspect the whole system, and quickly resolved a couple of loose cables. He double-checked the panel settings and confirmed everything was working perfectly. It was all done so efficiently, and thankfully, there was no charge involved. I’m extremely pleased with Phelps Solar.”

I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Phelps Solar. After investing $6,000 in their system, I ended up in a protracted legal battle and ultimately settled for $8,500 – and I still wasn’t satisfied. Frankly, it was a complete nightmare. The system is a massive maintenance headache, constantly requiring repairs and leaving me with a never-ending stream of problems. The system itself is poorly designed, leading to issues like freezing pipes in cold weather (which they don’t cover), excessive pump speeds that dramatically increase energy costs, and a constant need for repairs on the PVC piping. They essentially left me with a broken system and a huge amount of work. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to proceed with extreme caution. Their claims about the system’s performance are misleading, and the customer service is appalling – they even refused to remove a negative review after I contacted them. I wouldn’t recommend spending $6,000 on this system – it’s simply not worth the frustration and expense.

David really shone – he was incredibly efficient, always professional, and just a genuinely easy and enjoyable person to work with.

David was fantastic – he really went above and beyond to get our solar leak issue resolved. He’s clearly very knowledgeable about solar systems and took the time to explain some helpful improvements we could make to our system. I especially appreciated his thoroughness and the time he spent with us walking us through the options.

“The replacement panels were handled completely seamlessly through the warranty process – it was incredibly quick and easy, with no problems at all. I’m very grateful for the smooth service.”

“We’ve been incredibly pleased with Phelps Solar – we’re now three years in and haven’t had a single issue with the system. David has been fantastic; he’s always responsive to my questions and even offered helpful advice on things like pool pump scheduling and freeze protection. I’m planning on getting the system drained next year to prevent any freeze damage. Most recently, David expertly fixed a leaking valve and rebuilt it, saving us a significant amount of money compared to a replacement. He’s always reliable and we really appreciate his skill and dedication.”

“I hired this installer back in 2021 for my solar panel system, and he did a fantastic job – everything was installed professionally and it worked perfectly for a while. I did run into an issue with the pump responding to the solar heater settings, but he quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I highly recommend him for the initial installation and his prompt response when I needed assistance. Now, two years later, I’ve noticed a small leak developing from the solar panels, which happens when the temperature drops to around 30 degrees, and it alerts me to the heating. He responded quickly and was able to tighten the connections and replace a faulty valve. He was very thorough with the repair, and I’m really pleased with the continued performance of the system.”

“I was really impressed with Phelps Solar. I scheduled a check-up on my old system two days beforehand, and they were incredibly prompt – they arrived just ten minutes later! The technician was fantastic; he quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed a leak in one of the panels, and gave me a clear, detailed plan to get my system running at its best. It was just a really positive experience working with such knowledgeable and professional people.”

David Phelps from Phelps Solar was really professional – he arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with my solar panel. He took the affected panel off and used a bypass system to keep the rest of the panels working while he looked at the damage. It turned out the header was cracked, and he fixed it. He gave me a rough estimate for replacing all the panels since they’re around 10 years old and nearing the end of their lifespan, and my wife and I will be reviewing the cost and figuring out the best time to schedule that work this year.
