  I absolutely loved the whole process of getting my patio installed. Greg Kapanoske was fantastic – he took the time to explain everything clearly and was a huge help when I had trouble with the financing application. The team who actually built the patio were also incredibly professional, really efficient, and very polite. I’d definitely recommend them! report abuse

  Overall, we were really pleased with The Deck and Fence Company. We’d heard good things about their work in the neighborhood, and Joe, the representative who came to our house, was fantastic. He took the time to really understand our vision, walked us through several design options, and helped us make some key decisions about materials. There was a bit of a delay due to the pandemic, but once the materials arrived, the build went incredibly smoothly and professionally. The only small issue we had was a bit of damage to our siding during construction, but The Deck and Fence Company went above and beyond to get the right replacement siding – it was great to see their commitment to quality. We really appreciated Joe, Ben, and the whole team’s professionalism and we’d definitely recommend them if you’re looking to have a deck or fence built. report abuse

  “Honestly, this recent experience with Deck and Fence has been a huge letdown. Following our previous positive experience in 2016 – thanks to Mike Vaughn, who was fantastic and kept us fully informed – we were really excited to have them work on our new deck. This time, however, it was completely different. The crew arrived on Thursday without any prior communication, immediately starting work in our backyard. No one explained the plans, the timeline, or anything. My husband tried to speak with the workers, but they were very dismissive. They worked for almost ten hours and left without a single update. It's incredibly frustrating to feel like a returning customer isn’t valued. We were expecting a much more communicative and professional approach, especially regarding the installation of the screen and the hardware for the door. It’s made us seriously reconsider using Deck and Fence for future projects.” report abuse

Joe D. was fantastic; he was incredibly knowledgeable about the design options and patiently walked us through everything. Plus, it was amazing to find out he’s also a fellow Terp! Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, from Joe explaining the details to Jose and his team completing the installation. The whole thing was unbelievably fast – they finished both the upper deck and ground patio in less than a week, which was delivered ahead of schedule.   We’re absolutely thrilled with The Deck and Fence Company – we knew we’d made the right decision after talking to other builders. Joe D was fantastic; he’s seriously knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and he never made us feel pressured at all. He really took the time to explain everything and encouraged us to do our own research, which we appreciated. The build itself went incredibly smoothly, starting on Monday and finishing by Friday, and thankfully, we didn't have to worry about any HOA restrictions. The crew, led by Manuel, did an outstanding job – the final deck (a 20’ by 15’ TiberTech Reserve with stairs) is exactly what we hoped for and passed inspections with flying colors. It’s a really high-quality deck, and the price was competitive with other companies we researched. Honestly, it was great to see how closely all the quotes matched up; it really came down to choosing a builder we trusted, and we definitely found that with The Deck and Fence Company! report abuse
