  “We were so thrilled with Asphalt Star! Our old concrete driveway was a real eyesore, and when we contacted them, they gave us a fantastic foundation and added 3 inches of asphalt – it looks absolutely brand new now. We’d gotten a few other estimates, and the ones that were significantly cheaper didn’t seem quite right. Asphalt Star really delivered on quality. What was particularly impressive was their commitment to our satisfaction; they even came back twice to address drainage issues after a rain, and they completely resolved them to our liking. It’s been over five years since they did the work in 2021, and the driveway is still looking fantastic – the edges are perfectly intact and haven’t crumbled at all.   Howard and his Asphalt Star crew did a fantastic job on our new driveway! They completely removed the old one in a single morning in July and, amazingly, got it all done – including base compaction and the new asphalt – the very next day. The driveway has held up beautifully through the winter and looks absolutely great. We were really impressed with their professionalism and the fact that they stuck to their original timeline.   “I was really impressed with Asphalt Star! I initially contacted So. Maryland Paving, but they weren’t able to get us scheduled for at least six weeks. Asphalt Star was able to fit us in right away and they even went above and beyond by running a drainage pipe under the pavement – a special request I made. They thankfully canceled my old appointment, which was still a month out, and I ended up saving money. The final results were fantastic – I’m extremely satisfied!” report abuse

  Honestly, I’m really disappointed with the asphalt job Asphalt Star did on my driveway over four years ago. Almost immediately after they finished, weeds started popping up, and then a section developed a pretty significant dip that holds water. I contacted them about it, and someone came out to try and deal with the weeds and the dip, but it didn’t last. When I brought it up again, they basically told me that’s just how asphalt is and that the problem wasn’t big enough for them to address. They didn't hesitate to charge me for the initial job, but when it came to the follow-up repairs – which were clearly needed – they said it was too small of a job for them. Now, four years later, I’m stuck with a poorly done driveway, and I really regret choosing Asphalt Star. report abuse
