“We’ve been in our home for almost four years now, and frankly, we’ve been incredibly disappointed. The quality of the work is really subpar – the yard and landscaping are noticeably worse than our neighbors’ thanks to the builders. We’ve had a constant stream of issues, including cracks in the granite, siding coming loose, and significant problems with the flooring and doors. It’s been a real headache, and we wouldn’t hesitate to give them a zero-star rating.”

“I’ve only just moved in, so I’m still getting to know the place. I’ve noticed a few issues already, and I’m hoping they’ll stand behind the house and honor the warranty.”

“My experience with Centra Home was incredibly frustrating. Getting them to honor my warranty was a huge battle – I had to escalate my calls multiple times, and it felt like they were deliberately making it difficult. Then, when it came to the roof issue, they completely denied coverage, despite me having lived in my new house for five years! It’s unbelievable they wouldn’t cover a roof that age. Finally, to add to the problem, the siding is already falling apart with bubbles, and I never received any response to my request about it. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Centra Home to anyone.”

I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a house from this company. I rarely write reviews, but I feel strongly about sharing my story. I invested in a new home with them last year, hoping it would secure my family’s future, and I was offered a one-year warranty – which turned out to be completely useless. I’ve had to file countless claims, particularly regarding my master bathroom, and the project manager is shockingly unresponsive and incompetent. It feels like they simply don’t care about their customers; their only priority is making a sale. They’ve even stopped work on repairs mid-project and haven’t communicated anything in two weeks. Honestly, I suspect my race and age played a role in the lack of support I received. It’s a terrible feeling to feel disregarded and taken advantage of. If you're considering buying a home from this company, I urge you to seriously reconsider. It’s a stressful and frustrating experience, and you’ll likely lose both money and peace of mind.

Overall, we had a really positive experience with Centra. They were constructing a beautiful new community, and we were pleased to sign our purchase agreement before any building started. The design phase was very well-managed, and we appreciated having access to the property throughout the construction process – the quality of the work was excellent. We experienced very few issues when we finally moved in, and we were really impressed with the workmanship. We did have one small issue with a specific option we’d selected, but Centra took full responsibility and thankfully got it incorporated for us before the deadline. The warranty process itself could definitely be smoother; the time it takes for them to follow up on warranty requests can vary depending on the problem, but all of our requests have ultimately been resolved.

Centra Homes leaves a mixed impression. While the quality of the materials and pricing seems to be around the average for new homes, their customer service is seriously lacking. We built our house three years ago, and from the start, we encountered unusual roadblocks – they were very particular about our door choices, insisting we take hollow doors instead of solid ones even though we were willing to pay extra. It felt like a needless argument. More concerningly, the building manager seemed unwilling to acknowledge standard building practices, repeatedly pushing back on simple questions about tamper-resistant outlets, despite their long-standing use. This led to frustrating delays and ultimately, significant problems. Since moving in, we’ve faced repeated issues, including a week-long disruption to completely clear out our home for ceiling repairs that had to be repeated, and ongoing problems with the quality of our cabinets. To add to the frustration, our AC unit failed just outside of the warranty period, and Centra refused to take responsibility, leaving us without air conditioning for weeks. Now, after three years, siding is already falling off our house, and they’re not covering that either. Overall, we wouldn’t recommend Centra Homes – the experience has been consistently disappointing.

“I can’t recommend Centra – the quality of the work was really poor, and unfortunately, the customer service didn’t help matters at all. Seriously, use a different builder!”

Overall, the Port Riverwalk Community seems like a really well-thought-out place to live. The homes are high quality and the design is impressive, and you’re getting good value for your money considering the location.
-
“It’s really concerning to see that I’m not alone in experiencing issues with the siding. The fact that it’s been ripped off four times due to wind suggests a serious problem with the initial installation – and it’s incredibly frustrating that they’re now refusing to address the poor quality of their work.”
-
I was really disappointed with the service I received. Communication was incredibly difficult, and they completely failed to uphold their warranty commitments. I spent weeks trying to get the issue they caused resolved, with no real progress or updates – it felt like they weren’t taking my concerns seriously at all.
