  “We absolutely love our new backyard! Jim and his team were fantastic – so helpful and patient, especially with our three Great Danes and our small Minneapolis yard. Honestly, we’d been struggling to find a solution that worked for us, and they really went the extra mile to research what would be safe and enjoyable for the dogs. They explained everything so clearly, what we could expect from the yard, and even what we’d need to do to keep it looking good. We’ve had some frustrating experiences with other contractors in the past – missed communication, unfinished projects… but this was completely different. They were incredibly prompt, professional, and always kept us in the loop. The level of detail and follow-up was amazing, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing the job would be done right.   “I unfortunately had a really disappointing experience with Biota Landscapes. The work they ultimately delivered didn’t match the promises made in the initial renderings, which felt like a significant bait-and-switch. I tried to resolve the issues directly with the owner, and he initially offered a reasonable solution, but then pulled back on it. Looking back, I wish I’d done more research beforehand. Since then, I’ve worked with a couple of other landscape companies who provided a much better level of service and quality for a considerably lower price.” report abuse

  I couldn’t be happier with Biota! My gardener had to step away, and I was a little hesitant to go with a landscaping company – I’d heard about the potential for high prices and feeling like just a number. But my old gardener really vouched for them, and I’m so glad I listened to her. Jim Saybolt and his team are absolutely fantastic. They’ve been incredibly communicative, sending me emails to let me know when they’ll be there and what they’re planning to do, and then again afterwards with a summary of the work. Plus, everyone – like Nick and Gabie – is so friendly and professional. The prices are really fair, considering the amazing attention to detail and the quality of their work.   Biota did an absolutely fantastic job transforming our slope. They completely replaced a large area of dead junipers with a beautiful arrangement of boulders, mulch, and a really diverse selection of plants. What impressed us most was their reliability – they were always punctual and finished the project ahead of schedule and, surprisingly, under budget. The team was also incredibly friendly and professional. And the best part? The plants have really taken off, and Biota has been wonderfully accommodating in replacing any that didn’t quite make it. report abuse
