  “I’ve used this place a few times for my own projects, and I’ve been consistently impressed with their service. When my steel dock needed replacing, my welder recommended them, and I knew exactly where to go. They were incredibly professional and really went the extra mile, patiently walking me through the whole process since I wasn’t familiar with the materials. Honestly, they saved me a ton of money compared to going to Home Depot or Menards – I ended up going back three times for supplies, and each time the service was just as fantastic. They’re great for anyone – homeowners, hobbyists, really anyone who needs help.   Overall, my experience at Discount Steel has been really positive – I’ve been six times now and it’s consistently been a good visit. I especially loved the new retail section and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even when I had them laser cut some aluminum plates for my snowmobile, which turned out fantastic. My only real suggestion would be to add a clearer sign directing people to the register within the retail area; it was a little confusing finding it on my first visit. Also, while the selection is excellent, the prices are a bit on the higher side. report abuse

  I've been really impressed with this place! I’ve visited three times in the last month, and each time it’s been fantastic. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always ready to offer assistance, and the customer service is truly top-notch. Everything is so clean and well-organized, too. Plus, the prices on bulk steel are fantastic, especially considering they’re the best in the Midwest. And I was really impressed with their Norseman drill bits; they’re tough and a great value.
