  Overall, our home’s water systems are a really impressive part of its Platinum LEED certification. I spearheaded the “green” water features, so I took on the research and installed both a whole-house treatment system and a spa/pool system from Ecosmarte. These systems are fantastic – they use copper and titanium ions instead of salt or chlorine, which is brilliant for the environment. The only thing that’s required some work is the maintenance, as the metal plates do eventually need replacing. However, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have Paula as my technical support. She's been absolutely amazing, always responsive and incredibly patient. What really stands out is that she explains things in plain English – no jargon! – so I always feel comfortable asking questions and sending her pictures.   “Overall, my well water system seems to be doing really well! This was the first year I’d grown tomatoes, using seeds my neighbor provided and nurturing them with organic methods – and they’re thriving! My plants are huge, almost mammoth, and they’re clearly benefiting from the well water. However, my neighbor’s plants, which are grown using the same well water, are struggling with some end rot and aren’t as robust. It’s incredible how clear the water gets every time we use it – you almost forget there’s water in the tub. My skin feels fantastic, and I haven't experienced any itchy issues at all. Just a quick tip: investing in a pH meter would give you much more accurate readings than the test strips. And when adjusting the pH, stick to small amounts of baking soda to raise it or a tiny bit of muriatic acid to lower it.   I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with EcoSmarte. I purchased a substantial system – nearly $10,000 – for both my home and pool, and it’s been a complete nightmare. The PoE system has consistently failed to work correctly, and the installers for the pool system simply vanished after taking over $4,000. Now, I’m struggling to get a refund and EcoSmarte is refusing to take any responsibility for the issues. I strongly advise against doing business with them. report abuse
