  Matt Nelson from Summit was absolutely fantastic to work with when I had a major issue with my roof after the 2017 storm. Initially, insurance only wanted to cover a small portion of the damage, but Matt really stepped up to fight for me. He skillfully navigated the insurance process and helped me understand how to claim for both wind and hail damage – something the first roofer I contacted hadn’t even suggested. Because of his advice, I was able to successfully file a separate claim for hail damage, which was key to getting the full roof replacement approved. Matt’s attention to detail – sending samples to a lab to match the shingles – was brilliant and ultimately got insurance to cover the entire project, including the removal and reinstallation of my solar array. I really appreciated Matt’s patience and his willingness to go the extra mile. The roof replacement itself was quick and efficient, and the quality of the work is excellent. Plus, thanks to his recommendation, we upgraded to a higher-grade shingle, which will actually save us money on our insurance premiums in the long run.   “We were finally needing a new roof in Minneapolis – it was just getting old, and with all the hail we’ve had the last couple of years, it was really taking a beating. A friend recommended Nick at Summit Roofing, and I contacted him as a second opinion. I was immediately impressed with his team’s care around our plants – I’m a big gardener myself, and they were so careful not to damage anything. Nick was really thorough; he reviewed the adjuster’s bid, explained what made his approach different, and listened to all my questions. He even suggested ridge venting for our upstairs and ice dam protection, which was fantastic. We ended up choosing a beautiful red GAF shingle, and the installation was done quickly and perfectly – not a single nail or piece of debris left around the property.   I was absolutely thrilled with the new roof Summit installed – it’s stunning and clearly a top-quality job. The roofing crew was fantastic; they worked incredibly well together, especially considering they were working on our three-story house, and they were so organized. But what really stood out was Supervisor Montana Ovikian. He was incredibly attentive, patiently explaining every step of the process, taking the time to listen to my concerns about the ladders and my gardens, and making sure I understood all the building codes. He was consistently on-site, always ready with an answer to my questions, and even helped out the insurance inspector. It was a really complex job with the Gutter Helmet, a leaking long gutter, and two skylights, plus the roof being so high with some tricky areas. Montana went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. I can’t thank him and the whole team enough – Summit is a fantastic company, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone! report abuse
