  Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience building my new home with Northern Advantage Builders/Wausau Homes. The whole team was fantastic – they really made the process enjoyable and kept me involved every step of the way. They were incredibly communicative and collaborative, and I always felt like a valued part of the project. I was also really impressed with their attention to detail and their ability to stick to the budget while still using such high-quality materials.   We were absolutely thrilled with our cabin built by Wausau Homes/Northern Advantage during the challenging 2021-2022 winter. The entire team – Mike, Marisa, and everyone involved – was incredibly professional and went above and beyond throughout the whole process. They expertly handled every change order, kept us fully informed on pricing, and the quality of the work was outstanding.   Overall, the panelization process for my Boulder Junction home in 2022 went well, thanks to Mike Brighum’s excellent guidance and professionalism – he really knew his stuff. The crew who put together the floor, wall, and roof sections did a fantastic job. However, I had a couple of concerns. I was billed for the use of a front-end loader which wasn’t ultimately required, and critically, several key features from the original plans – like the front door overhang, the structural squash blocks under the windows and doors, and the framing adjustments for the deck – weren't actually incorporated into the build. After completing a small punch list, communication stalled, and I had difficulty getting in touch with the team. Given my background as a builder with Wausau Homes/Sterling Building Systems, I naturally had some specific expectations that weren’t met. report abuse
