  “I was really disappointed with my experience. I felt completely ignored by the staff – I watched other customers receive much more attentive service while I was left waiting and had to repeatedly ask to be seated. After placing a very large order for over $8,000, it took weeks to get anyone to respond, and despite making a minimum payment, they couldn’t even schedule a visit to take measurements. The staff member, Ken, seemed completely uncomfortable and out of place dealing with customers. It was clear he wasn’t passionate about the business. Adding to the frustration, the credit card fees were incredibly high. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience.” report abuse

  “Marshall’s lumber yard is okay, but it’s definitely not ideal for serious hobby woodworkers in Montgomery. They do have a decent selection of wood beyond just plywood, which is a plus, but honestly, the quality is pretty low. I was particularly disappointed with the walnut – it was incredibly rough and uneven, and I would have happily paid a small fee to have it properly squared. The staff were knowledgeable about their stock, but they weren’t really interested in chatting or offering advice. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, and on top of that, they charge an unusual credit card fee.” report abuse

  “I’ve been using this place for all my home repair and millwork needs – new builds and renovations alike. They’re the only place I trust for large timbers like 20-foot LVL beams, and they’ve always been able to handle custom cuts for trim perfectly. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and if you can’t find something at a big box store, you’ll almost certainly find it here.” report abuse
