  “Overall, my experience with this company was frustrating and, frankly, overpriced. I initially contacted them about a load-bearing wall issue and was asked to pay a $500 deposit upfront, which they said would be applied to the final cost. While the positive reviews initially reassured me, the $500 felt excessive. The first visit by Ryan S. was a very quick, cursory check – he didn’t even go down to the crawlspace where the real problem was, and he promised to get back to me. Then, two weeks went by with no contact, and he finally scheduled an architect to draw up the plans. Even after the architect completed the drawings, it took another three weeks for Ryan to get them to me. The final bill was $3500, significantly higher than the $2000-$2500 I’d been quoted. What really bothered me was the lack of communication and responsiveness. Ryan seemed unwilling to fully explain the drawings and I had to repeatedly ask for clarification. Ultimately, the contractor I hired confirmed that the existing setup was sufficient, but Ryan hadn’t even considered that possibility. It felt like a completely unnecessary and protracted process, and I ended up with an open permit that I now have to close out. I understand that professional opinions vary, but the service I received was far from ideal.” report abuse

While the initial conversation was positive, we left with a lot of unanswered questions and a cost proposal that was significantly outside of our project’s budget. I raised my concerns with the engineer, but the owner hasn’t followed up. Honestly, it felt like a wasted 30 minutes and we need a company that’s truly invested in finding a real solution for our structural issue – someone with better communication and a commitment to delivering results.” report abuse

They came across as completely unprofessional and dishonest; once they’d taken my payment, they seemed to lose all interest in my situation or the reasons I’d hired them. The structural inspection itself was incredibly brief, only taking about 15 minutes, and the report – which took weeks to arrive after repeated requests – was filled with generic, unhelpful language and didn’t address any of the specific issues with my older property, which I’d invested a significant amount of money in.   “I was incredibly frustrated with the service I received from Structural Workshop. We called them to address a pipe issue, and one of their workers used our bathroom. When I went back in afterward, the bathroom was shockingly smelly and the toilet was completely clogged. Honestly, it made the problem much worse and caused more damage than it fixed.
