Mark was fantastic – genuinely helpful and a pleasure to work with. He took the time to really understand our needs and provided a clear, professional quote. I appreciated his honesty and insightful advice; he really knows his stuff. We’re really looking forward to working with IWR thanks to his excellent service.

“I had a really positive experience with IWR. They were recommended to me after a home inspection, and I found the whole process to be incredibly well-handled. John was fantastic – he was really thorough with the inspections, kept everything organized with his appointment scheduling, and did excellent work. He always explained everything clearly, showed me what he was doing, and never pushed me to make any changes. He was especially helpful when explaining the final bill. Honestly, I’d definitely recommend IWR and, specifically, John, to my friends and family.”

“I was really impressed with IWR’s service. I’ve had a persistent wood rot issue with my large window, and unfortunately, the manufacturer had already replaced it just a few years ago – it was happening again! Instead of another full replacement, IWR expertly addressed the rot, and they did a fantastic job. The estimator and the team were incredibly professional, punctual, and they left the area spotless. What really stood out was that they also identified the underlying cause of the problem, which gave me valuable information to fix permanently. I wholeheartedly recommend IWR for any window repair needs.”

“I was really pleased with IWR – they did a fantastic job on my windows! Last summer, they built and installed 13 windows for me, and then they did another two this winter. Brad, the installer, was incredibly professional from the initial estimate all the way through the fabrication and installation. He’s got a lot of experience and really knew his stuff. The quality of the windows was great, and the price was fair. I’d definitely recommend them.”

“Drew, Brad, and Vin did a fantastic job replacing the glass in our door and windows. They were really polite and helpful, explaining everything clearly. We’re very pleased with the finished work and they left the area spotless.”

Brett was fantastic – he really came through for us! His knowledge of windows was incredibly helpful, and we appreciated his honest assessment. He saved us a huge amount of money by showing us that we didn’t actually need new windows, which would have been a very expensive undertaking. We highly recommend contacting Independent Window Repair to get their opinion before making any decisions.

Overall, we’ve been incredibly pleased with IWR’s window repair services. They’ve handled three separate jobs involving a large number of windows, and on each occasion they were punctual and completed the work quickly and to a really high standard. We’ll definitely be using them again in the future, and their customer service has been fantastic too.

“We hired IWR about 1.5 years ago to repair our windows and address some rotting wood around them, hoping to save money compared to a full replacement. Initially, the work looked good, but we quickly noticed our house was much colder in the winter due to leaks around the windows. They sent someone out to fix one particularly bad window with a weatherstrip, which helped a little, but the problem has returned this winter. Honestly, I’m pretty convinced they didn’t reinstall the windows correctly during the initial repair. It feels like they just patched the wood and didn’t properly address the window installation itself. Because of this, I’m not keen on calling them back out again. We’re planning to get an energy audit from another company to really understand the issue. It’s frustrating because replacing the windows wouldn’t have been significantly more expensive – perhaps double the cost, and we’re left wondering if we should have just gone with the full replacement.”
-
Honestly, I was really disappointed with the window repair. They replaced one board, but put in a much worse one – one that was already heavily rotted. It turned out the other boards they supposedly fixed were far more damaged than they initially let on, to the point where you could actually push them through with your fingers. They didn’t really offer any advice about the huge holes in the plywood caused by the rot, just caulked them over, and it hasn’t lasted at all – the repair seems incredibly temporary.
-
I’m incredibly disappointed with IWR. To be blunt, they completely failed to deliver on their promises. The estimator gave me a wildly optimistic quote, and the final result is unacceptable. I’m left with a window that won’t close, numerous windows with broken seals, and several issues the salesman assured me would be resolved. Even worse, the hardware is still malfunctioning. I had to call a competitor to fix their botched work, and frankly, it feels like a complete scam. They charged me $3,000 for six hours of work that didn't address the problems, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Seriously, consider Accent Window Repair in Shelby, or just replacing your windows – you’ll get a much better experience.
