Ramachandran’s experience with the Enphase system was very positive. Dave and Khown, who were dispatched by Kenny, did a thorough job of replacing the inverters and cleaning the panels. He particularly appreciated their punctuality and professional approach, as well as Kenny’s commitment to meeting his needs. He wishes them continued success and sees the company as a valuable asset thanks to its skilled employees.

I’m incredibly frustrated with the way this solar installation project has unfolded with Solar Alternatives. As a certified project manager with extensive experience in construction, I expected a much more professional and coordinated approach. While the technicians themselves are knowledgeable and skilled in solar and electrical work, the overall management of my project has been completely lacking. I’ve essentially been left to manage the project myself, acting as a consultant and troubleshooting issues with each of the six different crews that have worked on my property. It’s unacceptable that they wouldn't notice fundamental design flaws, like the largest array of panels being installed off-center. I’ve repeatedly brought these concerns to their attention, but my feedback has been ignored. Adding to the problem is the complete lack of communication from Solar Alternatives. I’ve been unable to get in touch with the owner, and my point of contact hasn’t responded. Emails and phone calls go unanswered, and scheduled visits are often missed or occur at inconvenient times. It’s been a pattern of disrespect and wasted time, and frankly, a significant waste of money. Despite the friendly interactions I’ve had with individual employees, the company’s internal processes are severely disorganized. I’m still waiting for the project to be completed four to five weeks after it began, and I’m seriously concerned that it won’t be finished to the agreed-upon specifications. I’m hopeful that things will improve, but at this point, I'm deeply disappointed with the experience.

“We were incredibly pleased with Solar Alternatives – they really delivered on our project of adding a Tesla battery to our existing solar panels. Now we’re essentially off-grid, thanks to the battery storing excess solar power for use at night. It’s also a huge reassurance knowing the battery provides power during outages, which will be invaluable during storms like hurricanes and squalls. The team was consistently professional, efficient, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable throughout the entire process. We wholeheartedly recommend Solar Alternatives!”

Overall, my experience with this company was really frustrating. I invested a significant 97,000 in October 2021 and it took a full five months for the equipment to finally function correctly. Worse still, they significantly overstated the number of solar panels they could install on my roof, claiming it was based on Google Maps estimates – a completely unacceptable approach given the full access I provided and the obvious need for an accurate measurement. While the panels and batteries are now working, the entire process cost me around $5,000, and I strongly advise anyone considering this company to hold onto the final payment until Entergy has officially approved the work. It was a costly lesson, and I really encourage others to learn from my experience.

“Honestly, Solar Alternatives really stands out – they’re definitely the top solar provider we’ve worked with in the area.”

Overall, we had a fantastic experience with this company. The team was incredibly helpful and professional – we never felt pressured at any point during the presentation of our options. They also did a really efficient job installing our system and kept us on schedule. Now we’re thrilled with our electric bills, which are only $10-12 a month.

“We were really pleased with our experience installing a solar panel system through Solar Alternatives. It’s fantastic to see us making progress toward our sustainability goals and positively impacting the environment. From the moment we started looking into solar, Solar Alternatives made the process so straightforward, and they even helped us analyze our energy usage – it’s great to be seeing those monthly savings!”

“I’ve seen a really noticeable difference in my electric bill thanks to the solar panels – it’s helped me save a good amount. Entergy provides both electricity and gas, and this month my bill was around $55. The system seems to be most effective during the warmer months, like spring and summer.”
-
“I was really pleased with my experience with Solar Alternative. The owner was incredibly gracious and took the time to answer all my questions. I’m now a very satisfied customer – the work itself was great, though I did have a few questions about the panels’ function. I especially appreciated feeling heard and valued as a customer.”

“Overall, our experience with this project was really frustrating. We encountered some significant communication challenges and installation issues, including damage to the soffit caused by the installer. Despite reporting this and providing photos, the repairs were never completed, even though I followed up repeatedly. Adding to the problems, we were initially told the panels were generating power, only to discover months later that they had never been activated. Looking back, we definitely should have done more thorough research before choosing this company.”
