  Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience building our new home with Derrick Custom Homes. From start to finish, Ron Derrick and his team were fantastic. It’s clear they’re incredibly skilled – the house is wonderfully designed and built with top-notch materials and craftsmanship. What really stood out was how professional and transparent they were throughout the entire process, always keeping us fully informed. You can really tell this is a company built on experience; so many of the guys on the construction team have been with Derrick for years, and you could see the pride they took in their work. Plus, the fact that they have their own cabinet shop and created all the custom cabinetry and millwork is just amazing – it’s truly a standout feature. Seriously, from the sales team to the architect and everyone involved, they were all so easy to work with and just a pleasure to have on board; it made the whole building process genuinely enjoyable. report abuse

From start to finish, the whole team was incredibly honest and down-to-earth, which made the entire process so much smoother. We worked with Derrick, Ron, Megan, Lena, and Judd, and each of them was professional and top-notch. They really listened to our ideas and helped us create a base design that we loved, and then expertly guided us through every step, from adding features to discussing costs and even unexpected challenges. The quality of the build is outstanding – everything is beautifully finished, and most importantly, they built a truly strong relationship with us, taking away so much of the stress that comes with building a home.   Okay, here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on that feedback: “I had a mixed experience with Derrick Custom Homes. I worked with Derrick and a team including Ron, Tim, Mike, and Dale on two houses. Initially, things went well, and I particularly appreciated Dale’s help during the revisions of my dream home – he was fantastic. However, things really deteriorated after COVID. Specifically, when we commissioned an architect for a third house, we paid $5,000, but Ron repeatedly promised us numbers within a few weeks, and we waited six months without them. We never received any quotes or architect plans, and ultimately, we weren’t able to get the $5,000 back or the original plans. It felt like we were just left hanging. I’d strongly advise anyone considering building with Derrick Custom Homes to proceed with extreme caution.” report abuse
