I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience. This has been, without a doubt, the worst customer service I’ve ever received. From the unprofessional communication and the shockingly dirty site, to the completely unacceptable and dangerous situation with the generator causing carbon monoxide poisoning in our home, it’s been a disaster. To make matters worse, despite repeatedly raising my concerns, it’s always been someone else’s responsibility. This project is now six months behind schedule, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using this company.

However, I needed a service call for my spa and when I called, the person I spoke with essentially said they wouldn’t help me because I hadn't used their services in a while. I made it very clear that I’d originally purchased the pool from them and was a previous customer, but they still refused to assist me. Honestly, it felt really dismissive – as a business owner myself, I understand the importance of keeping past clients happy. Word of mouth is everything, and this experience left me feeling like South Shore Gunite doesn't value its customers. If you’re considering them, I’d strongly advise you to look at other options.”

Overall, we were incredibly pleased with SSG’s work on our pool at the Beach Club of Rye. They completely re-plastered and tiled it this spring, and their team was fantastic – really knowledgeable, meticulous, and incredibly polite. Despite some challenging weather conditions, they managed to finish the job on time and within budget. We’d definitely recommend them and plan to use SSG again for all our future plastering and tiling needs.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the service I received. Initially, the installation was fantastic – it performed well for twenty years. However, when I contacted them to remodel, the work was shockingly uneven and blotchy. It seems they used the wrong equipment and connected it to the wrong ports. Adding to the frustration, they broke into my backyard, and when I called to discuss the issues, their number was constantly blocked. To make matters worse, I was charged twice for the same devices. Then, the new hydrostatic drain they installed failed completely within two months, while the original one had never had a problem. They blamed a faulty spring, but the replacement was clearly defective. I ended up paying for water twice, and I was even charged on my credit card without any prior notification. Overall, it’s been a really terrible experience.

“Based on Steve’s feedback, it’s clear we’ve had a seriously disappointing experience. We were led to believe our 50-100 year warranty would be honored, but that hasn't materialized. It feels like we’re paying for a service we’re not receiving, especially considering we’ve already paid 90% of the total cost after just six visits. The biggest issue is the lack of progress. We were specifically advised not to use our own electrician and plumber due to complex coordination, yet they’ve simply been repeating the same work. We could have achieved the same results for a fraction of the cost. Furthermore, the promised ‘one task per week’ hasn’t been delivered. We’ve only received sporadic updates, often just the day before a visit, and frequently coinciding with bad weather. Frankly, we feel completely abandoned and wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.”
