  Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with the work VHI did four years ago remodeling our kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, and laundry room. They were absolutely fantastic – incredibly professional and respectful throughout the entire process. They were always mindful of the disruption a project like this causes and always left our home clean and safe after each day’s work. We really appreciated being kept in the loop on their progress and having their input on each stage. The quality of their work, and the work of all the subcontractors they used, has been outstanding. It’s clear they take a lot of pride in their work, and it’s truly transformed our home into exactly what we envisioned.   We absolutely loved the transformation of our ranch house – it’s fantastic! Steve S was a fantastic project manager; he was incredibly responsive, friendly, and really easy to work with. The whole VHI crew – Steve F, Dan, Jim, and everyone – were a genuine pleasure to have around. Their workmanship was outstanding, but it was the thoughtful extras they added, like the innovative space reorganization and those beautiful shelves for the pantry, that really made the difference.   “I can’t recommend Valley Home Improvement enough! They completely transformed my kitchen and even added an attached garage and shed – everything was finished in October 2011. From the start, Steven was fantastic, reassuring me I could contact them anytime with questions or concerns, and he absolutely followed through. Seven years later, I’m still amazed at their commitment. When my initial mini-split air conditioner started having issues over the years, they promptly addressed the problems, replacing it and the compressor with a brand-new unit, including the labor of the plumber and electrician – all without any extra cost to me. It’s truly rare to find that level of integrity and dedication these days, and I’m so grateful for Valley Home Improvement’s service.” report abuse

  Valley Home Improvement truly exceeded our expectations! Steve Silverman and his team did an absolutely fantastic job remodeling our kitchen, master bath, and powder room – we had a 30-year-old kitchen, so it was a huge transformation. Steve was incredibly organized and kept us perfectly on budget and on schedule, which we really appreciated. He has great connections with suppliers and contractors, and he really listened to our specific requests – from choosing the perfect tile and countertops to the smallest details like cabinet hardware. Zac and his crew were amazing too; they were always punctual, worked incredibly efficiently, and kept the house as clean as possible during the whole process. Beyond that, they were incredibly helpful when we ran into a few unexpected problems with our home, like a flooded basement, and even took care of all the extra junk we’d accumulated. Steve has even checked in with us since the job was completed, which we really value. We’re so thrilled with the results and love showing it off to everyone! report abuse

  “I was really disappointed with the response time. After submitting the contact form, I was told it would take two to three weeks to receive an estimate. Honestly, that felt incredibly slow and unprofessional. It made me feel like they weren't valuing my time or my business – the delay suggested they weren't interested in working with me. I understand businesses get busy, but that kind of turnaround time is unacceptable.” report abuse

  I was really disappointed with my experience contacting this company. I sent them two initial inquiries and finally spoke with Steve, who was incredibly dismissive. He immediately seemed to assume I didn't understand the project’s cost and made some very rude assumptions about my situation. The whole conversation felt judgmental and he was unnecessarily blunt about their company’s procedures. I was just looking for a simple, free estimate – like I’ve gotten from several other contractors – and he refused to offer it without a commitment. It felt like they weren’t interested in me or my project at all, and frankly, it came across as disrespectful. report abuse

  Overall, our experience with this company was initially very positive – we gave them a 5-star rating shortly after the project was finished. However, things have unfortunately deteriorated significantly since then. We’ve encountered multiple issues, most notably with the electrical work. The initial breaker replacement for our fridge failed while we were at work, resulting in a ruined refrigerator and spoiled groceries. While the wiring was eventually corrected, a new electrical fault soon appeared with a recently installed outlet on the island, requiring three phone calls and four emails to get someone out to fix it. Now, just a year later, the same fridge breaker has failed again. It’s concerning that this has happened multiple times, and frankly, we’re increasingly suspicious of the electrician involved. Given these repeated mistakes, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend this company as long as they continue to use that electrician. It’s unacceptable to have such a high number of errors, particularly considering they aren’t the most affordable option available.” report abuse
