“The store itself is really nice and the staff were incredibly friendly, which was a big plus. I went in to buy some screen and nails for a screen door – you can see the purchase in the picture. While I appreciate their location might allow for higher prices, I felt like I was overcharged for the items, and the pricing seemed a bit questionable.”

I had a really frustrating experience at the hardware store this week. I was trying to build a simple wooden bed frame and spoke to one of the staff members about the parts I needed. Unfortunately, he was incredibly dismissive and rude. Despite showing him pictures of what I was trying to do, he couldn’t seem to understand my request and just brushed me off, telling me I needed to find someone “more adept” and that I should “really plan it out better.” It was really disappointing and made the whole experience unpleasant.

“This place is fantastic for all your homesteading supplies – it’s really convenient being combined with the yard area. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to answer your questions, and the service is top-notch. As an Ace Hardware, they have a really good selection. I noticed a small surcharge for credit card purchases, but honestly, it’s understandable considering they use technology to minimize risk. Overall, Aaron, the owner, is doing a really valuable job serving the Northport and Leelanau Township community.”

It was great that they were just starting up and stocking shelves, and they went above and beyond to find anything I needed. Honestly, I was really disappointed with this place. I needed a few supplies for a job and went there hoping for a quick and easy experience, but it was a complete waste of time. The selection was incredibly limited – it felt like they carried almost nothing. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude and didn't offer any assistance at all. I even tried to get a key made, but they couldn't do that either. It really highlighted why I’ve been sticking with the larger stores; they’ve got what you need and a much better customer experience.
