Overall, Jay was a really solid and reliable contractor – he reminded me of a good, honest friend’s dad. The construction work itself was generally very good. However, I do have some concerns. Paul, the salesman, seemed a bit slick, and we definitely felt like we were dealing with someone primarily focused on the sales aspect rather than the actual build. A significant issue we experienced was their reputation for not paying their subcontractors, which unfortunately led to some of them going out of business. They also didn’t do a particularly thorough job of priming the boards before painting, and we’ve since had to pay to have those issues corrected. I’d recommend them, but it’s really important to stay on top of things and confirm that you’re receiving the quality of work you’re being charged for.
