“Overall, the I-35 and Highway 9 project has been a significant frustration. It seems ODOT shifted traffic to I-35 North to address the ongoing hazardous conditions, and I have a feeling Sherwood Construction was pressured to make that change given the repeated accidents. The northwest ramp remains unfinished and is causing massive, daily backups on I-35. The southwest ‘bridge to nowhere’ continues to be a persistent problem, and the northeast corner is still a disaster with no sign of completion. While the southeast corner’s construction is still causing daily backups, at least the hazardous construction zone is less dangerous now. Honestly, it's clear that traffic control here is a serious issue, and I'm concerned about the lack of progress and the continued delays.”

“I’m incredibly frustrated with the situation at Riverwind Exit. The damming up of the river caused a massive flood, turning the road impassable and leaving everyone stuck. Frankly, it’s completely unacceptable. As someone who’s lived on that road for over ten years, I’ve never experienced anything like this – it’s far beyond a minor inconvenience. Your company is responsible for this, and it needs to be fixed immediately, especially with the upcoming rain. I’m currently displaced, along with my family, and it’s costing us a significant amount of money due to hotel bills and lost income. Scott Middleton, I’ve been trying to reach you repeatedly, but haven’t received a response. This is unacceptable. I expect a swift resolution to this problem.”

Honestly, I’m really concerned about the way this team is operating. The work seems minimal, and it’s clear they’re not prioritizing safety or the well-being of the community. The construction on I-35 in Norman is a complete eyesore, and I’m looking forward to seeing them move on from this project.
-
“I can’t recommend this construction company. My experience with them was incredibly disappointing – frankly, the worst I’ve ever encountered. The management of the I-35 highway project was particularly concerning, and I wouldn’t trust them with any construction work.”
-
“Traffic around the Riverwind Casino has been consistently bad, and it’s significantly impacted my commutes. What used to be a quick 10-minute trip to Norman is now taking close to 30 minutes.”
-
This was a truly disappointing experience.
-
Overall, it’s a really solid company to work with. You can definitely count on them – they seem like a trustworthy and reliable partner.
-
“They were fantastic – really professional and reliable. The quality of their work was excellent, and they consistently delivered on time.”
-
“It’s a really positive environment here – they clearly take pride in their work and seem to genuinely care about what they’re doing.”
-
“This is a fantastic place to work!”
