  Chris was fantastic! I called about a faulty thermostat, and he arrived the same day. Despite it being late, he quickly replaced it. Unfortunately, the new one also shorted out, but Chris didn’t give up. He carefully investigated the wiring and, thankfully, was able to fix the issue the next morning – even picking up the necessary supplies himself. He was incredibly professional, really knew what he was doing, and got the problem solved before I left for a trip! I’d definitely give him five stars! report abuse

We lost power in our back house, and after contacting them through Yelp, I was told about a dispatch fee. However, the diagnostic and repair costs weren’t disclosed until the technician, Tyler, arrived. Tyler himself was fantastic – he quickly identified the problem – a loose circuit breaker – and fixed it by replacing the breaker. The power is back on in that room, and I really appreciate his professionalism and friendly service. My biggest issue was the final bill, which came to $744.86. The dispatch fee was $129, and then there was a flat diagnostic and repair fee of $550. That seems incredibly high for just replacing a circuit breaker. It feels a bit predatory, especially since similar, simpler repairs could be much less. Black Hills needs to be more transparent about their pricing and offer more flexible rates – a flat fee for diagnostics and repairs feels excessive when some issues are much simpler and cheaper.” report abuse

  I couldn’t be happier with the recent electrical work Black Hills Inc. did for me. My wiring hadn't been touched in almost 30 years, and I was a little nervous about the process, but Gabriel and Brandon made it so easy. They were both incredibly professional, friendly, and answered all my questions patiently. They tackled a huge job – completely updating the electrical system throughout my house, pump house, and garage. That included installing new light fixtures inside and out, a ceiling fan, replacing faulty outlets, and troubleshooting some serious wiring issues. Plus, they replaced all my old, useless cadet heaters! Seriously, they worked for almost seven hours straight, and the quality of their work is outstanding. I’m already considering having them do more electrical work for me, and I’ll definitely be asking for Gabriel and Brandon again next time. Thank you so much for your fantastic service! report abuse

  “Steve and Devan were both fantastic! Steve did a really thorough job explaining the crawl space and ensuring everything was kept tidy – he was incredibly respectful of our home. A few days later, Devan tackled the repairs, and he did an amazing job transforming the space. He expertly fixed the wiring and replaced the insulation, and like Steve, he was exceptionally clear and polite, explaining his process fully and patiently answering all our questions.   “We were so pleased with the service we received today! The team arrived right on time, were incredibly friendly and took the time to walk my husband through the entire furnace and A/C installation, answering all of our questions.   Kash did a fantastic job replacing my outside water spigot. He was really professional – on time, super friendly and helpful, and he clearly explained the issue with the water leak he found. Honestly, it was a bit of a tricky job going into the crawl space, which I wasn't exactly keen on, but he handled it like a pro, like he’d done it countless times.
