  Overall, our experience with this product and the company was really disappointing. While the installers were friendly, the issues we encountered were significant and left us feeling quite frustrated. We immediately noticed problems with the windows themselves – two of them had completely mismatched sides, and the measurements weren’t even close. It wasn’t an illusion; the differences were real. Plus, one window already had insulation falling out. And it didn't stop there. After installation, we found plastic film and smudges on several windows, including some that required us to use ladders to clean. We were shocked to be told they didn’t offer cleaning services – and the supervisor’s comment about them not being “Merry Maids” was particularly dismissive. We were also left with black smudges on our walls and a lot of dust, which we had to deal with ourselves. report abuse

  I’m so incredibly disappointed with this company. They installed my roof nine years ago, and it’s already starting to fall apart – you can see in the photo how the shingles are peeling. To make matters worse, they refuse to honor the warranty because I bought the house a year after the original installation. Seriously, avoid this company at all costs! report abuse

We went through a really thorough process, interviewing nine different companies before settling on them, and Troy was fantastic – he really helped us make the right decision. They handled the complete replacement of our siding, doors, and windows, and the whole experience was just brilliant.   Working with MEI on our recent home renovation was fantastic! We’re so relieved to have finished all the painting – it’s a completely different house now. From the very beginning, Troy was a huge help; he was incredibly knowledgeable, always responsive to our questions, and kept us perfectly informed about the project’s progress. They really transformed our house, taking it from a dated beige with old siding to a beautiful Summit Blue LP siding with white trim. The installers were professional, efficient, and even worked with us to make some of the smaller decisions during the installation process.   “We were really disappointed with our experience with Minnesota Exteriors. They completely replaced the siding on our house and garage, but the whole process has been incredibly frustrating. They initially told us it would take just five days, but it’s now been twenty days and we haven’t heard a word from our project manager about when the remaining materials will arrive. To make matters worse, they significantly underestimated the amount of siding needed, and we’ve started seeing snow melting into the gaps where the flashing was removed. Throughout the entire time, communication has been almost non-existent. I’ve called repeatedly, being assured each time that someone would get back to me by the end of the day, but I’ve never received a call. Honestly, it’s been incredibly difficult to work with a company that doesn't keep its customers informed.” report abuse

  “I was really disappointed with MEI’s response to my repair request. Knowing they’d done my siding installation, I expected a quick and efficient fix. However, it took multiple attempts – three messages and a call to Greg – to even get a reply. The fact that my initial call wasn't returned is incredibly concerning, and understandably makes me hesitant to recommend them to anyone.” report abuse
