“We did a really nice feature wall at the cabin – they used a ship lap technique and were right down the road. My wife, who isn’t super familiar with wood, was a little hesitant at first, but the guy helping us really won her over. We ended up ordering v-groove poplar and she absolutely loves it; it looks fantastic and we got a great deal on it. It’s been about a year and a half now, and the wall still looks amazing. I wanted to share some photos from when we were building it – we took the time to paint the back of the planks and then sanded and applied polyurethane to the fronts, so it's built to last. More recently, in the summer of 2024, I needed some door frames for the sliding doors and closet bifolds, so I headed back to Two Inlets. The guy there hooked me up with some 20-inch poplar that had been stored in one of their outer barns for years – someone had picked out the good pieces, but there were some usable 6-inch sections. He gave me some that were a little rough, but I was able to cut them down to fit my doors. Honestly, if you’re renovating a cabin, you can’t beat these guys!”
