  “I initially contacted Thompson & Crowley after seeing their ad on Facebook during Memorial Day weekend. Scott was punctual and gave me a preliminary estimate of around $3500 for the work I was looking to have done in my partially finished basement. I did find it a little strange that they hadn’t offered a formal proposal, especially since they’re typically involved in larger basement projects. I didn’t mention my plans to also remodel my stairs at that point, just to see how they’d respond. Scott said he’d pass the information on to the office, and they’d let me know if they wanted to proceed. Unfortunately, I’ve since gotten quotes from another local company for about $6,000, and I’m still waiting to hear back from Thompson & Crowley. It seems like they might only take on jobs of a certain size.” report abuse
