“Our experience with Citadel regarding the fire suppression system installation at our La Vergne distribution center has been deeply concerning. Initially, around 2016, they installed the system, but a subsequent inspection revealed a critical mismatch between the system data plate and the actual equipment. This led to repeated inspection failures and significant delays in our planning. I immediately requested Citadel rectify this issue and provide a quote for an upgraded system to meet current code requirements. However, after a frustrating five-week period of communication, we were simply told they couldn't provide a quote or timeline due to their heavy workload, specifically citing their work with Amazon. They then advised us to hire an independent engineer – a completely unreasonable suggestion given the core problem they’d created. Adding to the problem, during the process, David Pavey informed us that an upgrade wasn’t necessary, citing outdated drawings and seemingly inaccurate specifications. This ultimately proved incorrect due to subsequent code changes. Most recently, Citadel responded by suggesting I troubleshoot the issue myself via Google – an incredibly dismissive response from a company entrusted with our safety. We’ve now escalated this matter to Clarion and Cushman Wakefield for resolution.”
