“I’m really frustrated with the entire experience regarding the insulation installation in my basement. The installer initially ran into issues with the R-value and the product they had available wasn’t what I’d ordered – it was too thick to fit. What’s incredibly concerning is that the salesperson didn’t tell me about this issue beforehand. Then, after the installer left, it took him over an hour to even acknowledge the problem and contact me. To make matters worse, the scheduler had sent him to another job without letting me know, and I couldn't get through to the office to get answers – I left two messages and never received a callback. I’m left with an unfinished job and a feeling that my concerns weren't taken seriously. It’s unacceptable that I couldn’t get in touch with anyone to resolve this.”

“Honestly, I really regret not checking out Closetmaid’s reputation beforehand. My contractor recommended them, and I went with it, but I definitely don’t recommend them. They installed shelving in my closet, and the very next day, the shelves punched right through my new wall, creating massive holes. They insisted it was a one-off, but reading the reviews, it seems that’s not true. It took three weeks to get someone in to fix the damage – a really kind guy thankfully – and I had to take two days off work just to be available. To add to the frustration, they initially dismissed the extra holes, acting like it was just a misdrill, but they never told me or offered to fix it. Then, they tried to charge me to have a mirror re-hung after they just put a nail in an existing hole! It’s been weeks since they promised to come back and install support rods, and I still haven’t heard from Tommy. They're sending demanding emails and invoices, and the whole experience has been incredibly unprofessional – constantly telling me a manager would call, only for them to eventually reach out after I repeatedly had to push for updates. It felt like they were hoping I wouldn’t notice the problems, and frankly, I wish I’d just done the work myself. If you’re looking for a reliable contractor, I strongly suggest you explore other options.”

“I scheduled a consultation to get measurements and estimates for new glass shower doors, but it’s been a really frustrating experience. A woman came to my house two weeks ago, but I haven’t heard anything back since. It’s completely unprofessional to not follow up, and a simple phone call or text would have been a much better way to keep me informed.”

“Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company. While the receptionist was friendly, the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I had to call four times to get someone to schedule an estimate, leaving two detailed messages. Eventually, I spoke with the receptionist who then explained some other services they offered. I provided my contact information, expecting a call from the salesperson to arrange a meeting. Unfortunately, I never heard from them. The salesperson went to my house without an escort and did her own estimate, even contacting my husband to confirm my number. It felt like they didn’t listen to what I needed and completely missed the mark. Because of this disorganized and unresponsive approach, we ultimately lost the sale, and I doubt they’d be able to sell any of the other services the receptionist mentioned.”

Honestly, the company was fantastic during the initial sale process – they were really responsive and helpful. However, once I started having issues with my shelving, it was like they completely disappeared. I ended up having to fix the problem myself after they didn’t respond at all. When they did finally come out, they immediately blamed the problem on the shelving system itself (ClosetMaid), even though they’d used a wall-mount design that wasn’t properly secured to the studs. The installation was shockingly poor – it was held together with a really flimsy system of brackets, relying on sheetrock anchors and a single toggle bolt. It was a really bad job, and the representative, Gale, took absolutely no ownership of the issue. I wouldn’t recommend them for any shelving work.

“I was incredibly impressed with Gale Insulation. Their quote of $30 was way ahead of the competition – nearly 60% lower than the other companies I contacted. From the very beginning, Tommy was fantastic – he was incredibly professional and kept me fully informed every step of the way, even stopping by during the installation to check in. The installers were top-notch, really explained everything in detail, and they were meticulous about cleaning up afterward. To top it all off, they even left me some extra weather stripping and insulation for the attic doors! Seriously, it’s hard to imagine a better experience – thank you all!”
-
“Overall, things have really improved since the recent changes in strategy and leadership. It’s great to see the positive impact, and the quality of the installers and their fleet upgrades is definitely a strong asset.”
-
“I was really impressed with the quality of work and how reasonable the price was. I’ll absolutely be using their services again – highly recommend!”
