The whole installation process was incredibly smooth, and they handled everything from the paperwork with the electric company to figuring out those tax incentives. Plus, the installation itself was done quickly and professionally. We’ve been using their system for the past 18 months, and their support has been fantastic – they’ve always been responsive and helpful.   “I can’t say enough good things about Black Platinum Solar & Electric! From start to finish, they were absolutely exceptional. Honestly, they went above and beyond what I ever expected. The whole team – from John Sr. and John Jr. to Darien and Hayley – took the time to really explain the entire solar panel process, which was incredibly complex, and handled everything from getting the permits to coordinating with the utility and city. They even proactively suggested I have my roof checked, which turned out to be a really smart move. And they took care of some unexpected issues with the drywall around the control box, so it looks fantastic. They never pressured me to buy anything extra, were always incredibly responsive to my questions, and I feel completely confident with their monitoring system. It’s a huge investment, but the level of care and attention they provided has given me so much peace of mind.   Overall, I had a fantastic experience working with Black Platinum Solar. They went above and beyond when they traveled all the way to my home in Ajo, Arizona, to install a 6kW solar system with that really innovative “daylight backup” feature. The system’s still working great two years later. The only slight drawback I found was that the “daylight backup” relies on a constant internet connection, which isn’t always reliable during the frequent power outages we have in the area. It’s a cool concept, but it needs internet to really function during those times. I ended up using Starlink to solve that issue on another property. I appreciate that Black Platinum was so patient and flexible with me, especially since I was trying out a somewhat advanced system. They were incredibly respectful, never pressured me, and gave me a fair deal with top-notch workmanship. I also got a quote from them for a Tesla charger recently – it was very competitive. I ended up going with a different electrician, but looking back, I wish I’d gone with Black Platinum. Their process would have been much smoother, and I didn’t actually save any money. report abuse

  “We absolutely loved our experience with Black Platinum Solar. From the start, John was fantastic – he really took the time to explain everything to us and we felt completely comfortable with the pricing and the contract. What really stood out was the quality of the installation; they ran the wiring through the attic and walls, which meant we didn’t have any unsightly conduit on the outside of our house. The crew was incredibly professional and punctual, and John even went above and beyond by resolving some old permit issues with the city, which was a huge relief.   “We couldn’t be happier with the work Black Platinum Solar & Electric did for us. They were fantastic – being certified in both electrical contracting and solar installation was a huge relief; it meant we didn't have to coordinate multiple subcontractors. They took care of everything, including upgrading our electrical service from 200 to 400 amps and replacing all our breaker boxes, which was absolutely necessary. Black Platinum really went the extra mile to ensure everything was working flawlessly, and we’re thrilled with how well our new Enphase solar and battery system is performing. We can now completely disconnect and go off-grid without a single appliance, like our air conditioning heat pumps, experiencing any interruptions. They completely revamped my solar system, adding batteries, controllers, and load-shedding equipment – a fantastic upgrade from my existing panels. What really impressed me was how thoroughly they understood my original setup and, crucially, they addressed and corrected some of the issues that had been present since the initial installation.
