“I can’t recommend the Marana Cavco location – it’s been an incredibly frustrating experience. We purchased a Palm Harbor home there in February 2024 and it’s been nothing short of a nightmare. The salesperson made a significant error with our order, and the office manager seems to avoid taking responsibility for any issues. We’re still without our home due to unresolved repairs, and communication has been completely lacking – we’ve received lies instead of updates from the manager, and customer service representatives simply ignore our emails and phone calls. It’s frankly disgusting how they’ve handled our business.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a Cavco home. Despite two separate attempts to address initial issues, the repairs were consistently incomplete and substandard. The technician sent to complete the work did a very poor job, and frankly, it felt like he was just patching things up temporarily. Chris Ford, the contact person, hasn't responded to my calls or emails, which is completely unacceptable. Because of this, I’m giving Cavco a zero-star rating. This was a complete waste of money, and I strongly advise anyone considering a Cavco home to avoid this company.”

“My experience buying a home from this Cavco dealer was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. The salesperson seemed completely disorganized, failing to efficiently move my transaction forward by getting the necessary paperwork to the right people. I repeatedly asked for things to be expedited, but instead of helping, the salesperson immediately told the owner that I was being rude and inappropriate, and I was never given the opportunity to speak with the owner myself.”

“I was really close to purchasing a new Cavco home built by Legacy in Arizona – it looked good and the price was appealing at first. However, after scheduling the inspection, I started researching both companies and had a really bad feeling. The inspection turned out to be a disaster, revealing over a dozen serious problems and several minor ones. I’m incredibly relieved to have canceled the deal and avoided what could have been a huge headache. Honestly, everything that could have gone wrong with the house did, and I wouldn’t have taken it for anything.”

“I was incredibly disappointed with this builder’s work. Shortly after having a water line issue under my sink repaired under warranty, the leak immediately returned. The repair was clearly not done properly, and now I’m facing significant damage to my kitchen. It’s completely unacceptable.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with the customer service at the Phoenix location. I moved into my home in September and, despite documenting the necessary repairs during the walkthrough in April, I’m still waiting for them to be completed. Repeated phone calls and emails went completely unanswered, and it took getting my dealer involved to even get a response – which was just a lot of empty promises. Seriously, buyers should be warned!”

“I’m really disappointed with my experience with Cavco. I purchased a manufactured home from them in 2018, and since then, I’ve had constant problems with the LED lights in my kitchen, laundry room, and pantry – they keep burning out. Cavco initially responded by sending me replacement lights, claiming they were alerted by the manufacturer about a faulty batch. However, they’ve now stopped sending replacements and are leaving me to deal with it myself. It seems strange that they knew about the issue with the original batch and haven’t offered a solution, like sending me lights from a working batch. The customer service has been very poor.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a Cavco home. I closed on a 2019 model in April 2019, and it’s turned into a complete nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend either Palm Harbor Homes or their Gulf Freeway locations in Houston and Alvin, Texas. I wish I’d backed out sooner, but I kept hoping things would get better. Rachel at the Cavco Lufkin office was particularly unprofessional and insensitive, and unfortunately, that attitude seemed to extend to the Palm Harbor team as well.”
-
“I was really interested in the Cavco Durango, specifically the 2 1/2 bath model. However, I was quite disappointed with their response. They had this model listed online with no floor plans or pictures, and I just asked for more information. It seemed like they weren’t willing to even send me a floor plan – which is a simple request considering they’d advertised it! I live fairly close to Arizona and have family who can help with transport, so their restriction to selling within Arizona felt unnecessary. Honestly, it made me question whether they actually had the model available for sale.”

“A friend’s company has unfortunately been a real struggle for them – they’ve consistently encountered problems and seem to be plagued by excuses.”
