I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a Cavco home. Despite multiple attempts to get issues resolved after the initial inspection, the repairs have been consistently subpar, and often incomplete. The technician sent to address these problems clearly doesn't fully understand the scope of the work needed. Honestly, I wouldn't give this company more than zero stars. To add to the frustration, Chris Ford, the contact person, has been completely unresponsive – he doesn’t return calls or emails. It’s a complete waste of money and I strongly advise anyone considering a Cavco home to look elsewhere. I wish I had photos to illustrate the extent of the problems.

Okay, here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on that text: “My experience purchasing a home from this Cavco dealer was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The salesperson seemed completely disorganized and failed to move the transaction forward efficiently, repeatedly delaying the necessary paperwork. I made it clear that I needed things expedited, but my requests were ignored. Worse, when I attempted to speak directly with the dealership owner to address my concerns, the salesperson immediately reported back that I’d been rude and vulgar, preventing any further communication. I never had the opportunity to speak with the owner myself, and the whole process felt incredibly unprofessional and ultimately, left me feeling completely unsupported.”

Honestly, I was so close to buying that new Cavco home built by Legacy in Arizona. It looked like a good deal at first, but I’m incredibly glad I had a second thought after scheduling the inspection. The inspection revealed a huge number of problems – 13 major ones and 5 minor, but together they were just too much. I quickly canceled the escrow and I truly feel fortunate to have avoided what could have been a complete disaster. It was riddled with issues; basically, everything that could have gone wrong *did*. I wouldn’t take it for anything.

“I’m incredibly disappointed with the service I received. The builder installed under the sink and it immediately started leaking, causing a significant water damage issue in my kitchen. I had them repair it under warranty, but the fix was clearly inadequate, and the leak has returned. It’s really ruined a portion of my kitchen, and I’m extremely unhappy with the outcome.”

I’m incredibly disappointed with the customer service I’ve received at the Phoenix location. I moved into my home in September and, shockingly, I’m still waiting for repairs that were identified during my walkthrough in April. Despite multiple phone calls and weekly emails that went unanswered, no action was taken until I had to escalate the issue through my dealer – and even then, I just received empty promises. Frankly, I would urge anyone considering this location to proceed with extreme caution.

“I’ve been really frustrated with my experience with Cavco. I purchased a manufactured home from them in 2018, and since then, I’ve had constant issues with the LED lights in my kitchen, laundry room, and pantry – they’ve burned out repeatedly. Cavco initially responded by sending me replacements, claiming they were alerted by the light manufacturer about a faulty batch. However, they’ve now stopped sending replacements, and it’s incredibly disappointing. Given that they were aware of this bad batch, it seems unreasonable that they wouldn’t offer a solution by sending the correct lights. The lack of support is very poor customer service.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying a Cavco home. I closed on a 2019 model in April 2019, and it’s turned into a real nightmare. I’d strongly advise anyone considering a Cavco or Palm Harbor home in the Houston area – specifically the Gulf Freeway locations in Houston and Alvin – to think twice. I wish I’d backed out sooner, but I kept hoping for the best. Rachel at the Lufkin office was particularly unprofessional and insensitive, and unfortunately, the same was true of the Palm Harbor team. ”

I was really disappointed with my experience. I found a 2 1/2 bath model listed online, but the lack of any pictures or floor plans was concerning. I reached out to inquire for more information, simply asking for a floor plan, and they didn’t even bother to respond. It’s frustrating because I live relatively close to Arizona and have family who can help with shipping – so the fact they couldn't send me basic information makes me seriously question whether they actually have this model available.

My friend’s company has been experiencing a lot of issues, and it seems like they’re constantly making excuses rather than addressing the problems themselves.

Daniel Ferguson has had a really frustrating experience with Cavco, and it seems they haven’t resolved the issue to his satisfaction. He believes they sold him a defective product and isn’t getting the support he needs. He’s encouraging others to see his perspective by sharing his story on Facebook.
