  “I couldn’t be happier with the work Performance Building Supply did for my dream home in Maine. From the start, I was focused on building a high-performance house, and they delivered with their selection of triple-pane windows and doors, including those two huge 50-square-foot windows. Steve was fantastic – he really took the time to understand my budget and put together a package that worked. The order arrived on time and in perfect condition, which was a huge relief. However, after installation, we found a small crack in one of the windows, and Steve immediately stepped up to replace the entire frame. What impressed me most was the care they took; Steve and Zak personally came to the site, carefully removing the heavy glass and ensuring the new frame was perfectly installed. Now, two years later, they’re still available if I have any questions or need replacement parts. Just recently, a friend damaged a door handle, and Steve went above and beyond to find an exact match – he even gave it to me for free! It’s clear Performance Building Supply is a true partner, dedicated to supporting you throughout your project and long after it’s finished.   I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Performance Building Supply. We ordered Intus windows based on our architect’s recommendation, and unfortunately, two of the windows arrived incorrectly – without the specified divided light feature. Performance offered a quick fix, but it was completely different and unacceptable, involving a messy, mismatched paste on both sides. Despite our repeated calls and emails expressing our serious concerns, they haven’t responded at all. We even had to travel to the Virginia office to try and get someone to listen. They offered a paltry $2,000 to simply accept the substandard fix, which we refused. Ultimately, we ended up covering the entire cost of correcting the error ourselves – a total of $1500 – because Performance wouldn’t provide any assistance. It felt like they were only interested in taking our money and weren’t willing to stand behind their products or their customers. I strongly advise anyone considering using them to steer clear. report abuse
