  We were so thrilled with our recent home renovation project in Portland, Maine, thanks to the team at Marvin Eldredge. They replaced all of our windows and doors with Marvin products, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. While it was a typical major renovation with a few challenges along the way, Dave and Jeremy were absolutely fantastic – they really went above and beyond to ensure we got the outstanding finished product we were hoping for.   I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience ordering windows from Eldredge Lumber Stores in Portland. From start to finish, it was a complete mess. The sales representative didn’t seem to understand the products he was selling, and ultimately provided us with the wrong windows. We’d already made firm plans based on his assurances that the windows were in, including an overseas vacation, only to have him call later to tell us they weren't there at all – and he was on vacation! Needless to say, our vacation was cancelled and we lost our plane tickets. I contacted the corporate office, speaking directly with the owners’ son, but received absolutely no sympathy or offer of assistance. Now, most of the windows are finally here, but several have issues and I’m still waiting for someone to come and fix them. It’s been a shockingly frustrating and unhelpful experience. I strongly advise against purchasing Marvin windows from Eldredge Lumber Stores. report abuse

  “We had a really frustrating experience with this company. We spent a long time selecting our door, only to find out they’d sent us the wrong one entirely. The email from our contractor confirmed this mistake, and frankly, the company’s response – or lack thereof – was completely unacceptable. They showed no accountability or concern, and we definitely won’t be doing business with them again. We’d urge anyone considering this company to proceed with caution.” report abuse
