I can’t recommend Alotta Construction. Our experience building our dream home was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, a nightmare. We hired them in Spring 2021 with a target completion date of September 2021, and as of June 2022, we’re still far from finished. Throughout the process, we encountered a huge number of issues, starting with serious problems with their workmanship. They used an unlicensed plumber, leading to extensive rework on the entire drainage system, including opening up walls. We also discovered multiple gas line leaks and significant installation errors with the siding and windows – the windows weren't properly flashed, causing leaks and drafts. Adding to the problems, they installed Minnkota windows, which have been plagued with issues – we’ve had six broken windows, and they’ve been difficult to get support from. They even locked us out of our property once! Beyond the quality of work, we faced issues with billing. They charged us for work that wasn’t done – we paid for a new metal roof and solar tube, neither of which were installed. We had to involve our attorney and the bank president to get the solar tube finally installed, and we’re still waiting for the metal roofing sheets and a refund for the labor. To make matters worse, they held nearly $40,000 worth of materials. Because of all these problems, I strongly advise you to get references from Alotta Construction and to carefully scrutinize any agreements you make with them. Don’t just take their word for it – verify everything independently.

“I absolutely couldn’t be happier with Alotta Construction! As a new resident in the area and after a previous disappointing experience with another contractor, I was understandably hesitant. But Alotta Construction quickly put me at ease – they responded to my initial email and all my calls promptly, and provided a really fair quote. Throughout the entire process, they were incredibly reliable, always on time, and completely honest and straightforward. The quality of their work on my new windows is outstanding; honestly, my house was spotless when they finished! I wholeheartedly recommend Alotta Construction – they did a fantastic job.”

I can’t recommend Alotta Construction highly enough. I had a really bad experience with a previous contractor who completely botched the construction of my aircraft hangar – it was a disaster! After that, I hired Alotta to finish the job, and I’m so pleased with the results. James and Janna are fantastic – incredibly hardworking, trustworthy people you can really rely on. They were very efficient and took great care of my property, ensuring the job was done perfectly. If you’re looking for a reliable and professional construction team, get on Alotta’s schedule – you won’t be disappointed!

“My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with the work Alotta Construction did for us – they really transformed our home! We’re especially delighted with the two gorgeous, functional gas fireplaces and the Hot Dawg heater they installed in the garage. Beyond the quality of their work, the team was fantastic to have around; they were genuinely friendly and easy to get along with. We’re so pleased with the results that we’ve already booked them for another project!”

Alotta Construction has been fantastic for us. We’ve used them for several renovations and have been consistently impressed with the quality of their work. James and Janna are truly exceptional – they really go the extra mile to ensure we’re completely happy with the final result. We’ll definitely be using them again for all our future projects.

I’m incredibly disappointed and frankly, concerned about my experience with this company. We hired them to build our retirement home, and it’s been a series of serious problems from the start. There were major issues with the floor’s levelness, the gas pipe installation was completely incorrect, and we’ve discovered significant mold growth in the crawl space due to inadequate ventilation. To add to the problems, they left the siding unfinished and didn’t even purchase enough materials for the project. They then tried to add an extra $8,500 per wall for drywall, claiming it was a simple mistake in the original contract. Worse still, they hadn’t obtained proper insurance and hadn't even established an LLC at the beginning of the build. Throughout this process, they’ve threatened to charge us an additional $30,000 and even attempted to force us off the property until we paid. We have extensive documentation – including external reports and emails – to support our claims. I'm also worried about reports that they’re actively trying to remove negative reviews online. It’s a very unsettling experience, and I urge anyone considering this company to proceed with extreme caution.

“We’ve been incredibly pleased with this company’s work. They’ve tackled a wide range of projects for us – from the fireplace to a new deck, sheetrock repairs, and even bricking up the front of our house. They were very responsive and handled any issues that came up with great efficiency. We’re excited to have them back to replace our living room door and build a deck off the bedroom.”
