  I cannot recommend hiring this company. The work they did on our stone stairs was extremely poor – the quality of the installation was substandard, and the project ended up significantly more expensive due to constant changes in the scope of work. Sadly, just under a year later, stones are already falling off, and they never addressed damage they caused to our property during the installation. After a negative online review, they initially inspected the stairs, claimed they wouldn't approve, and then completely disappeared, blocking our calls and failing to return. It was a truly frustrating and unprofessional experience, and I strongly advise against using their services. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with the work James did on my property. I hired him to install new stairs with railings and repoint the basement in Worcester, and he completely failed to deliver as promised. Despite numerous calls and a payment made in full, he hasn't completed the stairs or the pathway he initially outlined. He repeatedly pushed back the installation of the railings, and the site remains littered with debris. Most concerningly, he’s blocked my calls. Due to his blatant disregard for our agreement and his failure to fulfill his obligations, I’m pursuing legal action through my lawyer.   “Overall, our experience with Interstate was really disappointing. While the team did produce some good quality work, the final cost ended up significantly higher than initially quoted – they’d initially low-balled us to get the job. Once they were fully engaged, they discovered a lot of additional damage that we’d pointed out before we started, pushing the project costs up even further, and ultimately more expensive than other contractors we’d considered. We also had issues with the completion of the work; they tried to declare the job finished twice without fully addressing all the items in our original estimate. To add to the frustration, the site wasn’t cleaned up properly – we’re still finding trash in our yard and some personal items were left behind and covered in dirt and concrete. Honestly, I’m not sure the positive reviews I’ve seen for this company are genuine.” report abuse

I was bounced around to multiple contractors before they ultimately had to cancel the project after wasting over a month of my time.   I strongly advise against hiring James. His service was significantly overpriced and ultimately didn’t deliver on its promises. He initially quoted a price that quickly escalated, and after completing the work, he left a considerable mess and failed to return for any follow-up.
