  “Working with Vision Homes was absolutely a breath of fresh air compared to our initial experiences. We’d contacted a few other builders at the Showcase of Homes, but honestly, it just wasn’t a good fit. They were so busy and difficult to get in touch with, and seemed intent on pushing us towards pre-existing designs. It felt like we were just another project to them, with a drafter handling most of the design – which made the whole process feel really rushed and disconnected. But Bruce and Brian at Vision Homes were completely different. They genuinely took the time to understand our vision and what we were looking for. They were so accommodating with our specific requests, like wanting low-VOC materials, and they even incorporated our unique floor plan ideas directly. Bruce doing the design work himself, alongside Brian the builder, was a huge benefit – it felt like a real partnership. They really took the time to understand our vision and, honestly, Bruce was incredible at transforming our architect’s initially complicated and expensive plans into something practical and livable, cutting the cost by a remarkable 40%. He listened intently to what we wanted while also offering insightful advice when we needed it. The turnaround time for any modifications was surprisingly quick. We learned a lot during this process, and we now recommend starting with some solid home concepts – talk to Bruce! He’s not just a brilliant designer; he also has a strong grasp of cost and practicality, which is invaluable. Bruce’s plans were beautifully detailed and included in the estimated build cost, with a slight 10% add-on. Brian was equally wonderful, bringing years of experience in lumber, sales, and managing subcontractors. He’s a true problem-solver, always honest and with a no-nonsense approach that kept us on track with our budget. He’s a real ‘Swiss Army knife’ – able to handle so many details himself. Even after closing last October, he’s been incredibly responsive, taking care of those last-minute adjustments we inevitably encounter. We were impressed with Vision’s unique builders insurance, which gave us peace of mind.
