  Tim’s performance is a significant concern. Frankly, his lack of experience with tools – evidenced by the injury – and his difficulty communicating due to excessive smoking, make him unsuitable for his role. It’s incredibly frustrating to hear him repeatedly say “I don’t know,” and his overall performance needs a serious overhaul. It seems like it’s time for him to consider other opportunities. report abuse

  Nancy and Andrew Mantilla and Finley were absolutely thrilled with the recent renovation Groom Construction undertook at their 1769 home in Marblehead. It was a truly impressive undertaking – a complete overhaul of their three-story house that included everything from a full rewire and plumbing install to a brand new central HVAC system, all new bathrooms, and a completely new kitchen. They were particularly impressed with Groom Construction’s professionalism and the quality of their sub-contractors, who they found to be incredibly helpful. While they acknowledged there were a few challenges due to the pandemic and supply chain issues, the final result was a stunning transformation that perfectly preserved the house’s historic character.   This company was a truly frustrating experience. It became clear very quickly that the owner and his team lacked the necessary experience and seemed completely disorganized. Instructions were often unclear and rarely followed through as promised, leading to significant issues with the work itself. Sadly, there were multiple incidents of injuries during jobs, and the site was consistently left in a dangerous and messy state due to what felt like a lack of care and attention. I strongly advise against hiring this company – you’ll likely face more problems and frustration than you can imagine. report abuse
