  JJ Welch truly knocked it out of the park with the brewery and restaurant. They were fantastic to work with, communicating openly and building a really great team.   JJ Welch did an absolutely fantastic job with the three major projects we had completed this summer. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well-handled. Communication was top-notch, the workmanship was outstanding, and the team were consistently considerate, professional, and really conscientious. I was exceptionally pleased with each of the projects. Specifically, the removal of the old cupola was a particularly challenging undertaking – working around that granite structure was incredibly difficult, but JJ Welch’s team tackled it flawlessly. They also did a brilliant job working alongside the school’s summer program, minimizing any disruption. Finally, the exterior renovation of the campus building was beautifully done, and the quality of the subcontractors they selected was truly impressive. We’re so happy with the results in all three locations and we’ve already invited JJ Welch back for more work this summer! report abuse

  J.J. Welch’s performance and conduct are deeply concerning. Throughout my time working with him, I’ve been left with the strong impression that he’s simply taking advantage of others. I would honestly rate him negatively – if I could give him a rating lower than five stars. Specifically, I witnessed a subcontractor doing excellent work, but they were repeatedly unpaid. My company was ultimately forced to abandon the project, and we’re still owed a significant sum of $65,000. It’s incredibly frustrating to see someone like J.J. Welch prioritize excuses over fulfilling their obligations, relying on the integrity of others to ensure he gets paid. Frankly, I have absolutely no confidence in his integrity. report abuse

  JJ Welch did a fantastic job renovating and upgrading our shelter’s laundry space. It was a challenging project given the building’s age, but he and the team really pulled it together and delivered a truly impressive result. We’d definitely like to work with him again in the future. report abuse

  Honestly, I was completely stressed out when Justin first approached me. I was juggling a major build with a severely limited budget and a looming deadline, and frankly, I’d been burned by other general contractors throughout the whole process. When he overheard me talking about it and offered to help, I was understandably skeptical. But I decided to reach out, hoping for the best. And I was absolutely blown away by how quickly Justin and his team, particularly Chris Cashman and Joel Lerner, responded – within days, not weeks! To be clear, they agreed to take on the project with my budget, which was unbelievable. I had my doubts about how they could possibly deliver with a significantly smaller budget than their competitors, but Chris and Joel completely changed my perspective. They’re genuinely top-notch professionals; incredibly responsive and, most importantly, incredibly empathetic – something you rarely find in a GC. They were instrumental in keeping us on track, and exceeded all our expectations in every way. They saved us a huge amount of stress and money – I truly believe they should be your first, and possibly only, call. I’m incredibly grateful for Justin and JJ Welch, and I’m a huge fan! report abuse

  Overall, working with JJ Welch was an incredibly positive experience. Remodeling a historic building with so many layers – the original 1900s structure and the later 1960s addition – was already a huge undertaking, and it was clear from the start that things could be unpredictable. What really stood out was their transparency and communication. They were upfront about the potential challenges and unknowns we’d inevitably encounter as we uncovered the building’s history, and they consistently managed expectations regarding both the budget and the timeline. Throughout the entire project, they were incredibly responsive and readily available to answer our questions and guide us through the decisions. Most importantly, they consistently delivered on their promises, always advocating for the best value while maintaining the quality and integrity of the final result. It was truly a pleasure working with them – we couldn’t have asked for a better team. report abuse
