  “We had a truly awful experience with this remodeling company. They were supposed to complete our kitchen and bathroom remodel in three months, but it ultimately took six and cost us $20,000 over budget. From the very beginning, things went wrong. Just twenty minutes after the first kitchen cabinets were installed, there was a huge crash – they’d completely scratched our new floors. When we asked for replacements, the subcontractor was incredibly rude and even threatened to kick my husband out of the house. We later found out he didn’t even have a valid license at the time. Throughout the project, we constantly had to fight for basic things like proper protection during work and ensure the project manager was actually involved. It felt like we were managing the whole thing ourselves, and any concerns we raised were dismissed. Honestly, it was a chaotic and stressful ordeal. We ended up firing them before the work was complete, just to avoid further frustration. To add insult to injury, the owner then called to threaten a lien on our property! The only positive thing we experienced was with the plumbers and electricians, who were competent. Seriously, please, save yourself the headache and expense – avoid these guys at all costs.” report abuse

The team – Justice, Zach, and Christian – were incredibly kind, funny, and respectful, and they truly listened to my vision for my home remodel. They were amazing communicators, always kept me updated, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right. The quality of their work is outstanding, but honestly, it was the people at Built By Design who made the entire experience so wonderful.   I strongly advise against working for this company. I have had a deeply negative experience with them – they owe me over $15,000 and have refused to pay out. Their customer service is completely unreliable; I’ve been waiting over 11 months for payment and they’ve shown no responsibility whatsoever.
