  “I had a fantastic experience buying my condo with Ivory Homes, and I’d highly recommend Doug Babcock as my sales agent. From start to finish, they were incredibly responsive and helpful, going above and beyond to make the process as smooth as possible. I had a few unusual requests, and everyone – including Doug – handled them with a positive attitude and a real commitment to getting me moved in quickly. There was a slight hiccup with the garage doors, but the team was fantastic and worked diligently to resolve it.   “I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience buying my home from Ivory Realty. We closed in January 2022 and, as part of the final walkthrough, a significant list of repairs needed to be addressed before closing. Unfortunately, Ivory left all of this until the last minute and failed to complete any of the work. Now, eight months later, August 30th, I’m still chasing them to finalize the rain gutters. To make matters worse, they’ve been unresponsive and unreliable. We had to repeatedly ask neighbors working on other Ivory homes to step in and handle some of the outstanding repairs. Honestly, I wouldn't trust Ivory Realty to follow through on their promises – it’s been a very frustrating and unprofessional experience.” report abuse

  Overall, our experience building our home with Ivory was incredibly frustrating and filled with unexpected challenges. We put down a deposit back in February 2021 with an anticipated move-in date of October 2021, but significant delays due to supply chain issues pushed the completion to June 2022. We have to say, though, that our initial agent was fantastic – he was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process and we’d definitely recommend him. Unfortunately, he retired just as we were about to move in. However, we had some serious issues. The interior designer wasn’t very helpful; she rushed us through decisions and didn’t clearly explain the options available. She even sent us to the floor wholesaler without proper preparation and then contradicted previous discussions with the architect. We also purchased an upgraded kitchen package, but they wouldn't allow any further customization. Furthermore, they repeatedly dismissed our change order requests, claiming it was due to the economic situation, despite our established contract. They then proceeded to make changes without our consent, going against our agreed-upon plans. We also experienced problems with subcontractors. The concrete work left significant blemishes and a dangerous tripping hazard in the basement, and the garage doors were installed incorrectly – one door doesn’t function properly and the second one lacks Wi-Fi connectivity. The general contractor responsible for our subdivision was often unavailable due to personal matters, constantly blocking our requests. Finally, our mortgage company didn't allow us to lock in a favorable interest rate early on, which ended up costing us a significant premium. And now, despite numerous conversations, our warranty issues remain unresolved. report abuse

  Buying our first home, especially in a new country, was a really overwhelming experience for my wife and me. It felt so uncertain and a little scary at the beginning. But once we became part of the Ivory family, everything completely changed – it became a truly joyful and satisfying journey. I want to especially thank Travis Mangrum, our sales consultant. He was absolutely fantastic! From the very first day, he guided us through every step of the process with such accuracy, politeness, and speed. He answered all our questions and concerns so patiently, and we really appreciated how proactive he was in keeping us updated on the project – we never had to chase him for information.   Overall, we had a really positive experience building our house with Ivory. It was our second time going through this process, and we appreciated their structured approach – they really guide you through everything in their design center with a series of meetings. It was a bit stressful at times, but their team was incredibly helpful in walking us through the decisions. We absolutely love the beautiful, spacious home they built for us, and we’re really happy with the neighborhood too. A huge thanks to Ron Husband, our superintendent, who was fantastic at resolving any little issues that came up. We’re so excited to finally call it our home! report abuse

  Overall, we absolutely love our new home built by Ivory Homes! We’ve been so happy settling in and really appreciate the quality of the construction. We did experience a small issue with the french doors, but they handled it incredibly smoothly and efficiently. Everyone we’ve dealt with – especially our sales representative Vicki Wood – has been fantastic and went above and beyond to make our quick closing process as easy as possible.   Overall, working with Ivory Homes has been really positive so far, and we’re excited to be in the building stage of our new house. I’ve heard a couple of neighbors mention some potential problems with their warranty coverage, so it’s definitely worth double-checking that everything is fully resolved before we finalize the sale.   Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with Ivory Homes. We really did our research and they were the perfect fit for us here in the Salt Lake area. From start to finish, the service has been outstanding. We were given an 11-month timeline, and they actually completed our beautiful new home in just 9 months – which was fantastic! Tim, our agent, has been absolutely incredible. He’s been so helpful and responsive, truly going above and beyond to make the whole process seamless. And then there’s Amy, our superintendent – she’s a rockstar! We’ve barely needed to interact with anyone else because Tim and Amy have taken care of everything so efficiently and with such incredible attention to detail. We're so grateful for their dedication and the amazing job they’ve done on our new home; it’s truly been a wonderful experience. report abuse
