  I can’t recommend Kaminskiy Construction. We hired them in 2021 for a significant project – a California room and second-level deck with a jacuzzi and fireplace, and from the start, it’s been a nightmare. Despite the scale of the work, they couldn’t complete it properly. We’ve battled constant water leaks on the upper deck since February 2022, and any repairs they’ve made have been temporary fixes. Now, leaks are appearing in multiple areas – around the slider door, through the staircase lights, and even reaching our California room. A waterproofing expert confirmed our worst fears: Kaminskiy used an inappropriate waterproofing solution, and we’re left with a persistent “whack-a-mole” problem. Worse, they’re now refusing to take responsibility, shifting blame to another contractor, even though that contractor wasn’t responsible for waterproofing. It’s clear they’re trying to stall until the four-year clock runs out, and thankfully, the CSLB is investigating our complaint. We have photographic evidence of the extensive damage, including a burnt electrical panel they installed. We urge anyone considering hiring them to proceed with extreme caution. report abuse

  “We were really pleased with Kaminskiy’s service. We just needed a quick shingle repair on our mansard roof, and we received some pretty high estimates from other companies. Kaminskiy responded incredibly fast – within 24 hours, even on a Sunday – and their crew did a fantastic job for a price that was significantly lower than the others. It’s reassuring to know they’re bonded and insured, especially with a roof like ours, and the whole job was completed very quickly.” report abuse

  “Unfortunately, my experience working with Kaminskiy Design and Remodeling was incredibly frustrating. I was called out for an urgent leak repair on a Roman tub in Plano, Texas, and completed the job efficiently and at my own expense. However, after submitting my invoice, I’ve been met with a lot of confusion and delays. They claim my invoice doesn’t match their system, despite assurances from James Erich that it would be accepted. I’m still only partially paid, and frankly, the whole process has felt disorganized and unprofessional. Adding to this, the tenants warned me about the company’s reputation, citing previous issues with rude technicians and shoddy repairs – including a technician who damaged the tub and left it in a worse state than before. Because of this, I won't be working with them again and strongly advise other contractors and clients to proceed with extreme caution.” report abuse

  “I was incredibly disappointed with the service we received from Kaminskiy. We were repeatedly ignored by supervisors when we raised our concerns, and the technician seemed unprepared for the job. We were also overcharged, and despite numerous assurances, nobody followed up to resolve the issues. Ultimately, we had to seek help from a different company to get the problem fixed. I wouldn’t hesitate to say I won’t be using Kaminskiy again, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend them.” report abuse

  “I was so impressed with Mike from Kaminskiy Design & Remodeling! He was here on time and tackled a bunch of little jobs – stuck windows, a ceiling fan switch, door repair and painting, a sliding glass door lock issue, and a few other odd jobs I couldn’t handle myself.
