Overall, this place is fantastic – a real gem, especially when you’re on a budget and the weather’s hot! It’s brilliant for families with a fantastic water slide and diving boards for everyone. I’m really happy and proud of what the city has provided for the public.

Overall, this pool is a fantastic asset – the staff is really smart and helpful, and the lifeguards are attentive and professional. It’s also well-maintained with clean facilities. I sincerely hope the county continues to support its operation.

The San Fernando Regional Pool has truly become a fantastic asset for our community, and it’s a story of redemption. For a while, the City of San Fernando was struggling to keep it afloat due to some serious mismanagement. Thankfully, former Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky stepped in and, through his efforts, we now have a stunning aquatic center – considered one of the best in Southern California. It’s a wonderful facility with everything from a terraced pool perfect for little ones and a thrilling 2-story water slide, to a competitive lap pool. Plus, there are spacious, clean changing rooms and showers. The pool is conveniently located next to Cesar Chavez Park, which offers a great range of activities, including sports fields, a playground, and a fitness center. Beyond the typical recreation programs, the City is also proud to run its two award-winning music programs – Los Tesoros Youth Mariachi Orchestra and Ballet Folklorico Ollin – right here at the pool. And, just across the street, you'll find the Chavez Memorial, a significant landmark honoring the labor leader and a real hub for our vibrant, diverse community.

“This place is fantastic – the staff are always so welcoming and everything is spotless. I was especially impressed with the free swim classes; they were truly amazing!”
-
Overall, this pool facility is fantastic – it’s a really great place for people of all ages, from toddlers to seniors, to learn to swim or try out water aerobics. The outdoor setting and heated water make it comfortable, and the water slide is a huge bonus!

Honestly, I was really disappointed with my experience here. The pool was advertised as open to the public online, but when I arrived, the staff member was incredibly rude and informed me that the online information wasn't accurate, adding that it “never would be.” I wouldn’t recommend this place based on that interaction alone.

“I’ve really gotten so much help and support while I’ve been swimming there. Thanks to the instructors, I’m actually learning how to swim – it’s fantastic!”
-
“The pool looks really appealing, but it’s closed as of August 30th. It’s a little confusing because the website and Google Maps still show it’s open, so I hope they can get that updated soon.”
-
Overall, this was a really enjoyable pool! The slide and diving board were great additions, and the lap lanes were nice for a good workout. However, the hours were a bit odd and didn’t quite fit my schedule, which is why I had to slightly reduce the rating.

It’s a really nice place for kids to have fun, but the staff can be a little particular about things.
