  “I couldn’t be happier with the work All Bay Solar did on my house. From the start, Carlos, the owner, was fantastic – he gave me a really fair price and I knew I was getting a quality installation. They completely replaced my old roof with a solar reflective roof and a 4.735kW SunPower system, and even upgraded my electrical panel. There were a few unexpected challenges during the project, but Carlos stepped up and made sure everything went smoothly and that I was completely satisfied. The crew worked diligently for about 4-5 days, and we built a really good rapport. What really impressed me was their commitment to safety, especially during COVID. They were incredibly proactive in training their team on proper precautions, wearing face coverings, and even had the whole crew tested when there was a potential exposure.   “I’m incredibly frustrated with the work Bay Solar did at my home. From the start, Carlos seemed unwilling to take responsibility for any issues that arose, constantly blaming the customer. Despite promising to handle various projects, each one presented a new problem. Because of this, I ended up having to hire other contractors to fix his mistakes, which significantly increased the overall cost. Specifically, the generator installation, electric panels, and electric meters for my apartment and laundry were all problematic. The laundry installation alone cost over $11,000 and took a staggering eight to nine months, riddled with delays. The biggest issue is the ongoing confusion with the P.G.E. and building department meters for units A, B, and C – a problem that’s persisted since new tenants moved in three years ago and still baffles me and my tenants. Furthermore, my generator, installed at a cost of $5,000, doesn't actually supply power to my home. It only functioned correctly until a storm in the spring of 2023, when suddenly it stopped working, leaving me without power for two miserable days. It was shocking and incredibly inconvenient, forcing me to rely on stores for charging and basic necessities. Adding to the frustration, Carlos shifted the blame onto me for the generator's location, even though I simply requested it be installed below my deck. He insisted I pay a contractor to prepare the site, and then he claimed the generator failed inspection because it didn’t have sufficient clearance. It’s unbelievable that he wouldn't take responsibility for ensuring the installation met requirements. Finally, I discovered that Bay Solar hadn’t even installed the rear yard electric outlets I paid for, and Carlos pushed me to use his company for an annual inspection, despite my need to guide him through the process to pass it.” report abuse

  “We went with All Bay Solar after getting a recommendation through SunPower. We’d been really impressed with SunPower’s panels and the strong 25-year warranty, which is a top-tier feature in the industry. What really stood out was how quickly Carlos, the founder, responded and came to our home for a thorough consultation just one week after we contacted them. Luminalt and Occidental had incredibly long wait times – over a month – for consultations, and their installations weren’t even scheduled until 2020, plus their quotes were significantly higher than All Bay’s. The installation itself was really smooth and surprisingly quick. Our only minor frustration was with the email communication; we would have appreciated a bit more structure and follow-up after signing the contract. I think it’s understandable given that All Bay Solar is a smaller company and very focused on their business. I shared this feedback with Carlos, and he was incredibly receptive and is already working on improving their processes. Overall, it’s been a positive experience, and I’m really happy with our decision to go with All Bay Solar.” report abuse
