  “I couldn’t be happier with the work All Bay Solar did on my roof and solar installation. They really delivered on getting a fair price and doing the job right. I had them remove my old roof and install a solar reflective roof along with 4.735kW of SunPower panels and an upgraded service panel. There were definitely some unexpected challenges during the project, but Carlos, the owner, was fantastic. He took full responsibility for making sure we were happy with the results, and I really felt like we built a good relationship over the 4-5 days they were working on my house. What really stood out to me was how seriously All Bay Solar took COVID-19 safety. They were incredibly proactive in training their crew to follow all precautions and wear face coverings, which was especially impressive given how hot it was on the roof. They even had their entire crew tested when someone in the company had a close contact with a positive case – it gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were prioritizing everyone’s health and safety.” report abuse

  “I’m incredibly disappointed with the work Bay Solar did at my home. From the beginning, Carlos seemed unwilling to take responsibility for any issues that arose, constantly blaming the problems on me. Despite promising to handle a variety of jobs, each one presented difficulties, and I ultimately had to hire other contractors to fix his mistakes, which significantly increased the overall cost. The generator installation, electric panels, and electric meters were particularly problematic. The laundry installation alone cost over $11,000 and took nearly nine months to complete with constant delays. The unit A, B, and C electric meters were a complete mess – confusing both me and my tenants, even three years after the original installation by PGE, the Building Department, and 311. And to add to the frustration, my generator wasn’t actually supplying power, despite being installed below the deck, and My Generator Guy confirmed it was due to a partial connection to the subpanel. I was shocked when the generator stopped working after the installation, especially since the initial installation was below the deck. It was a miserable experience being without power for two days, and I had to rely on emergency measures like charging my phone and eating spoiled food. Carlos seemed to deflect blame, insisting I was at fault for choosing the location for the generator. I’m just a homeowner; I don't have the expertise to determine installation requirements. Overall, it felt like Bay Solar avoided taking ownership of the issues and left me to deal with the consequences. It was a stressful and ultimately expensive experience.” report abuse

From the very beginning, their team was incredibly meticulous about taking care of our home, and the solar technology they installed is truly top-notch. We especially appreciated how fast and professional the installation was, and the whole process was just remarkable. What really stood out was the teamwork; it was like watching a well-rehearsed orchestra. They were so attuned to each other, which made the work incredibly efficient and precise, especially considering our roof’s steep 45-degree slope – something many other roofers had balked at. And to top it all off, they were constantly checking the ground, ensuring absolutely no nails were left behind – a huge relief! We’ve heard great things about Sun Power, as recommended by the Sierra Club, and we feel completely secure knowing our beautiful new roof is ready for anything. He was incredibly attentive, answering my questions within hours, and even on the weekends! Before the installation, he walked me through every detail, and the crew was professional and efficient, completing the work in a single day. Jennifer was also a huge asset; she expertly handled the NEM application with PG&E, explaining everything clearly and keeping me informed every step of the way.   “We were really pleased with our experience working with All Bay Solar, having initially connected through SunPower. We chose SunPower specifically for their high-quality panels and the strong 25-year warranty they offer. Carlos, the founder, was fantastic – he took the time to come to our house within a week of us contacting SunPower and did a really thorough consultation. We spoke with Luminalt and Occidental, but their response times were incredibly slow, with waits of over a month for consultations and installations weren’t even scheduled until 2020, plus their quotes were noticeably higher than All Bay’s. The installation itself went smoothly and quickly. My only real feedback would be around the communication – there were a few hiccups with emails, and I would have appreciated a bit more structure after signing the contract. I mentioned this to Carlos, and he was very receptive and immediately took steps to improve their processes. Overall, it’s been a positive experience, and I’m extremely happy with our decision to go with All Bay Solar.” report abuse
