Honestly, building our first home was overwhelming at first, but Liberty Homes has been absolutely fantastic. They’ve been there for us every step of the way, answering all our questions and taking care of any concerns we had. It really made the whole process feel manageable – like they took away the stress of not knowing where to begin. Everyone we’ve interacted with, from our saleswoman to our project manager, has been incredibly friendly and helpful. We were a little nervous about buying a house without seeing a model, but Liberty Homes went above and beyond by arranging tours with two other families. It was such a great opportunity to see the floor plans and get feedback from people who had already gone through the process. We couldn't be happier with our experience – we really recommend Liberty Homes!

I’m really disappointed with our experience building with this company. We absolutely loved the floor plan and the location of our house, but the quality of the materials and workmanship has been shockingly poor. We’ve only lived here for five years, and in that time, we’ve had to replace almost all of our baseboards because the wood was falling apart, and our microwave has burned out three times. Most concerningly, the front of three cabinet drawers just completely fell off. They keep insisting there’s no electrical issue, which is baffling. The paint is so thin it chips off with the slightest pressure, and the house rattles constantly when the A/C is running. It’s heartbreaking to think our home feels like it’s 25 years old. Honestly, I would urge anyone considering building with them to do a lot of research first. It seems like once you’ve moved in, their concern for your satisfaction disappears.

“I’m incredibly disappointed with Liberty Construction. We hired them to renovate our home, and it’s been a nightmare from start to finish. They seem to be more interested in taking our money than actually completing the work correctly. We’ve had a constant stream of problems – it took them four attempts to install a single window, which then caused issues with inspections. We had a serious gas leak for a month due to a faulty installation, and then the microwave broke down within a month too. The bathtub has cracked twice, and there are significant cracks in the ceiling. What’s most concerning is that Liberty didn’t even bother to install insulation in our attic, and they never provided us with proof that the work passed inspection. We’re still waiting for them to address our warranty request, despite promises of a response within 24 to 48 hours – it’s now been weeks with no communication, even after multiple texts and calls. To add insult to injury, they deliberately failed to disclose a major groundwater issue during the sale and now aren't fulfilling the drainage system they agreed to put in. It’s clear they’re dishonest and only focused on getting our down payment.”

“I wish I’d done a lot more research before buying my home from Liberty Homes. It’s the biggest investment we’ve ever made, and honestly, it’s been a nightmare. We love the neighborhood and the people we’ve met, but the experience with Liberty itself was incredibly stressful and riddled with problems. We had a serious framing issue with our oversized shower, and it took constant fighting to get resolved, even though we paid extra for it. Then, the house was painted the wrong color almost immediately, and it wasn’t until the painter refused to follow the foreman’s bad instructions that anyone finally stepped in. I ended up leaving work to deal with it! We also didn't get the floor transitions in the bathrooms and kitchen – they told us that was an upgrade. But it didn’t stop there. Many of our neighbors have had similar issues – some homes were built without any insulation, others had walls not properly attached to the floor, and the stucco was cracking severely after just a few months. We even had a major groundwater problem that Liberty didn't seem to address properly. It’s clear that Liberty has serious management issues; several employees, including foremen and directors, have left the company. They deflect blame, downplay our concerns, and often operate in a gray area when it comes to honesty and transparency. We've caught them in outright lies, and it feels incredibly unethical. Based on everything I’ve seen and heard from other homeowners on Park Bluff Way, I wouldn’t recommend Liberty Homes to anyone. Frankly, it’s been a terrible experience, and I truly believe you’re better off looking elsewhere.”

“I absolutely loved the whole experience building with Liberty Homes. It was so refreshing to have so many options and really personalize my dream home – something I hadn’t been able to do with my previous builder. Bryce, our superintendent, was fantastic; he genuinely cared about making sure my home looked exactly how I wanted it. Liberty Homes has been a wonderful company to work with, and I’m so excited to see the finished product. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to build.”

Overall, the build went pretty smoothly, though it’s typical for new construction to have a few bumps along the way. They were responsive to my warranty requests, and the quality of the build was what you’d expect from a standard tract home. I didn’t notice any bowing or sinking, though I’d take that with a grain of salt – it’s common with new construction in 2022, and these homes tend to be built with stucco, so don’t expect a solid brick structure like older homes. They clearly put in a good effort, and it shows. However, after about a year in the Bluffdale neighborhood on Park Bluff Way, I've noticed some gaps appearing around the ceiling and walls due to settling, and it needed to be recaulked. It’s a temporary fix, and I suspect it will likely reappear soon.

I’d give Liberty Homes a one-star rating. Honestly, the initial appearance was nice, but that’s where the positives end. The building materials themselves are shockingly poor – I needed to spend over $12,000 just to get a decent build, and I didn't even upgrade the upstairs! The flooring and carpet were absolutely dreadful, like something straight out of the 70s. After moving in, things went from bad to worse. We had major issues with leaking windows, peeling carpet, and a completely unfinished patch of dirt next to our house – a mistake Liberty left for our HOA to deal with, and they’ve since ignored us. And to add insult to injury, the cabinets I paid extra for were all crooked and poorly fitted. There were some bright spots though. Bryce was a really helpful guy and was able to fix most of the problems I’d raised. However, given all the problems we faced, I wouldn’t recommend Liberty Homes without a *lot* of caution.

“Overall, I had a fantastic experience working with Liberty to build my home. They were incredibly accommodating and allowed me to make some unique design choices, which really helped me create a space that truly feels like home. The team was also fantastic – communication was excellent, and I was able to address and resolve any concerns I had along the way.”

“We’re so thrilled with the work Liberty Homes did for us – they really took care of a tricky situation we were facing. We absolutely love our new home; it’s beautiful, spacious, and the location near the hills is fantastic.”

Honestly, we had a really frustrating experience with this builder. Despite having a one-year warranty, they’ve completely ignored our warranty requests. And to add to the problem, they outsource most of their work to InteriorWorx, which we found to be unreliable. Overall, we strongly advise against using them – it was a really disappointing experience.
