  “I was really pleased with this local company. We were looking for new flooring for our tiny bathroom and ended up getting stuck with inflated prices at places like Marden’s and Lowe’s. Honestly, I didn’t expect a local business to be able to beat those big box store prices, but they absolutely did! They had the perfect flooring for our needs, and the salesman was fantastic – really helpful and had a great sense of humor.   I’m incredibly disappointed with the recent work Sanford Flooring did on our floors. We’ve used them for years and have always been happy with their service, but this last experience was completely unacceptable. Hutch came to measure, and we clearly communicated our preferences – we wanted the vinyl running lengthwise and specifically requested the coldpace around the edges. Despite this, three installers showed up and finished less than three hours later, and the vinyl was installed backward, completely disregarding our instructions. To add to the problems, they didn't cover the baseboards with coldpace, left a noticeable seam in the bathroom doorway without trim, and the hallway and bathroom vinyl were unevenly joined. They even left a pipe opening unfilled and the vinyl cut around it, just hanging loose! When I contacted the office, they insisted we hadn't paid our bill, despite telling Hutch exactly what we wanted. They then scheduled a follow-up for the following Thursday, but no one showed up. The next day, they claimed the installer had been disconnected, and promised he’d be there Saturday – which he was, at 5 pm after a whole day of waiting. After twelve days without a functioning sink and with the floor installed incorrectly, they offered an extra charge for the coldpace and a thank you. Honestly, it’s clear Sanford Flooring has lost its way. My contractor, who has recommended them for years, will no longer do so, and I intend to share my experience with everyone I know – steer clear! report abuse
