“I had a fantastic experience with A & A Materials. They were able to handle my small trailer with their large loader machine, and the operator was incredibly careful and precise – loading everything exactly as I requested and to the exact amount. I highly recommend them for all my landscape material needs!”
-
“It seemed like there was a little bit of awkwardness when I first went in to pick up my order – like they weren’t entirely expecting me. But honestly, they seemed like genuinely good people, and I got the impression they were just a bit reserved. The guy with the white hair at the standing desk near the entrance was particularly friendly.”
-
“I’ve been really pleased with my orders from A & A – specifically the rock and dirt. They consistently provide top-quality materials, and the drivers are always incredibly reliable and skilled. Plus, the pricing is very fair. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”
-
“Unfortunately, my experience with this company was quite disappointing. I ordered 4.5 tons of Saddleback rip rap, 3”, and it didn’t meet my expectations. Based on other reviews I’ve read, it seems like a recurring issue with this company, so I won’t be ordering from them again.”
-
“I only leave reviews for places that really stand out – either incredibly good or really disappointing. I ordered two shipments of rocks from this supplier and unfortunately, the quality was quite inconsistent. The first delivery was good after I’d filled the yard, but the second batch was noticeably different.”

Ben seems to really value this place – he’s a long-time customer and consistently praises the good selection and prices. He particularly appreciates the helpful staff, especially for those doing it themselves, and the fact that they let customers shovel and load their own materials for free. He also found the yard map with labeled piles to be a really useful feature.

“We were really impressed with the front staff – they were so helpful and quick to assist us first-time customers. We placed an order on Thursday afternoon and it was delivered on Saturday morning for $50. However, we were a little surprised by the quality of the Apache Brown screenings; we’d anticipated a really clean, ready-to-spread product at $48.25 per ton.”
-
I was really disappointed with my recent order. I ordered 7 yards of premium mulch, but I received compost instead. When I contacted them about it, they insisted that’s what it was, despite the fact that it looked completely different from the pictures on their website. I needed it for weed control, but this just isn’t suitable at all.
-
“Everything went really smoothly with my order of Table Mesa Brown – they delivered the 15 tons exactly where I needed it, and there was very little dust and only a tiny bit of “minus” material. I was really pleased with the quality of the rock and the excellent service I received.”
-
“I’ve been consistently pleased with A and A’s landscaping services over the years. However, my recent experience with a 5-ton order of 1-inch minis was disappointing. The delivery arrived with a significant amount of dirt – roughly 30-40% – and I’ve contacted them about it twice, but I haven’t heard back from a manager as promised.”
